Hi. My daughter just wanted to try sugar cane. She just chewed on it.

Is the texture hard or soft? I want to use them as skewers.

We bought them to use as skewers. They are hard. Some pieces are quite large and so we ended up cutting them. We thought they were edible. They really aren't. Much too fibrous.
