Ryobi battery saw
Great piece of kit. Take anywhere and is quiet. You are limited on the size ( thickness ) you can saw as the guide rails go over the top of the saw table, but general use skirting, decking, framing does the job well.

Perfect for the casual DIYer
Nothing wrong with this at all. Good solid metal build construction where it matters. Perfectly fine power levels from 18V. Very portable weight wise. Built two sheds using this, and still going strong.

Buttery smooth action.
Best tool ever! Saved me hours compared to hand saw. It is a lot more bulky than I thought. Need to reorganise the shed!

Be prepared to calibrate! Manual very poor.
I like Ryobi cordless tools. I own a few and they are perfect for the serious DIYer. Right balance between cost and quality. This sliding mitre saw was a bargain price! £50 cheaper than on the Ryobi website. On unpacking I did some test cuts and found it inaccurate.I 'fiddled about' with it and got it accurate enough for my project.I called Ryobi customer support for advice. They said there was no adjustment. They also said the two year guarantee is with Amazon not Ryobi. They only offer the 3rd year. They suggested returning it to Amazon which would be a pain.Couldn't find any further help online but when I read through the 20+ languages manual I found some pictures at the back that suggested there were some adjustments possible to the mitre angle and the bevel angle. Also the laser needs adjusting to align with the cut but I will do that later.Ryobi customer support don't know their products. The manual is truly shocking. They need to supply proper instructions. Surely on online version is possible in each language with written instructions as well as pictures? They need to emphasise the need to check the calibration before using the saw.Now I know how to set it up I am very pleased with the product. Perfect for my DIY projects, now accurate and versatile. Solidly built. It's also compact and easy to carry. It would be 5* if it wasn't for the poor customer support from Ryobi and the appalling manual.Other than that it's a great saw and I can highly recommend it if you accept it might need adjusting.I know this sounds obvious to a serious woodworker but to an occasional DIYer it needs to be made clear. No complaints about Amazon, they changed the original delivery date with no problems.

Cordless mitre saw.
Excellent machine. So far used for 25mm x 150 rough sawn planks, plus 50 and 75 mm square posts and 160 wide decking planks. And sizes in between. Used straight out of box, no need for any fine adjustments regarding squareness etc. Battery life pretty good on 4 or 5 amp batteries. Laser and depth stop useful additions over a different make of mains powered mitre saw. Seems solidly made.

This Saw has made my life so much easier
Let's be honest, this saw will never be able to do everything my mains powered 300mm DeWalt sliding saw can do, but I love this saw, it is so compact and light to move around, I love not having to hump around a 110v transformer to job sites and put my back out lifting my heavy Dewalt saw around to do a few cuts on small jobs, it does not have huge power but I know it will do 85% of the work I need it to do on 2nd fix jobs, its not 100% accurate but it is good enough unless you are doing high end Carpentry & joinery, for the money it costs I'm very happy with it, I also really like the rails being on the front of the saw, it makes it really compact
