A perfect around-the-house casual shoe
I ordered size 9 for my size 9 feet, and the fit is textbook perfect. The width is generous, and for people like myself with EE / EEE feet this is like finding the Holy Grail. Inside, the sole is about the right firmness: neither memory foam squish nor cheapo plastic. There is no dramatic arch support; when you first put them on it may feel flat to you, but I think the idea is that as you break them in your weight presses into the sole and creates some of that shape, custom. The sole has some give to it, sort of a dimpled foam / plastic of some kind. I’ve been wearing them both with and without socks, and both are fine. Having the base be a solid piece rather than composed of layers will help with longevity in warm weather, I think. I like the casual look and feel of these, don’t mind if the canvas frays over time. That’s the point! One caveat: you’ll likely need a shoehorn to put these on, as the heel area is canvas (like the rest of the shoe) with little stretch or give. With socks this is even more of an issue.

Nothing better. Probably ever!
There are so many clichés one might use. None of them come close to the real thing.... Like walking on clouds? I've never done it, but I doubt it would compare to these. Like wearing house slippers anywhere you go? Not a chance you'll ever own house slippers this comfortable! I'm always on a search for comfortable shoes and have many that are very good, but I've never put my foot in anything like this before. I scoffed at crocs for many years until as a joke I tried on a pair of clogs in the store a year or so ago. That was a mistake, because they are every bit as ugly as I remembered, but now I'll wear them without thinking twice. These aren't even ugly... They actually look pretty good with a pair of jeans on, but you won't care what they look like. You'll only smile as you walk..As I saw from another reviewer, there's a noticeable difference between the ones made in China and the ones made in Mexico. I own one of each. (Brown came from China and black ones from Mexico and both from Amazon) if it matters. The ones from China look like a nicer pair of shoes. They're both equally as comfortable, but the ones that came from Mexico somehow look like they might be a pair of shoes you bought in Mexico if you lost the ones you brought. I don't know why, but that's my take on it.

Toes in First...... Shoe and size are inconsistent, but over-all a descent house slipper.
On my second pair after purchasing my first a year ago. At first I thought it was the way I was wearing it; as I folded the back to opt for more of a slip on; as I do a lot of work from home and like to wear them at times. However, after receiving my second pair I realized that the reason I may have done this was because my toes are crammed a tad. Initially, you would believe that returning them for the next size up would do the trick; however, one size up would have the shoe truly become a slip on.From the photo's attached, you will see the shoe will give a little. Possibly a lot more, if word without flipping down the bottom; which is what I am hoping second time around.First time (last year) I paid $41.2 on July 2, 2014. This time around $44.38 (May 14, 2015). I waited a bit before putting my second pair on as I really wanted to wear the first pair before discarding. Now, July 27, 2015 and the price dropped to $32.98; which is without a doubt definitely a great deal considering it's use and length of time before discarding, if used almost daily around the home. Perhaps, they wouldn't last if worn outside, but that was not my intent when purchasing. Also, for those that are not aware; any orders made within 7 days Amazon will make adjustment for all products with a promotional credit.. Good to know information, in case you locate the product price decrease after purchasing. At the end of the day, if you are looking for a descent shoe (slipper) to walk on wood or tile floors without placing pressure on your feet and back, this item might do the trick... You can't go wrong with the price and if they go up in price again and you are not in a hurry, chances are they will reduce back soon enough.Images should help illustrate good comparison of what they will appear to resemble if used the same way for exactly one year.. What I did notice outside of everything mentioned and goes back to a review I recently read about all of these exact shoe models are not made in the same place. If you carefully review my last two images you will notice that the model codes on the back side are not exact and are a bit different; which explains a lot..Hope this helps, if not.. Drop me a line, love to help.

Can you say Comfortable???
I saw these when I was looking for something a little different in the footwear market, but I opened the product page as was intrigued. I had no idea that Crocs made actual shoes. I have had a couple pairs of traditional style Crocs in the past and though they were extremely comfortable, they were not practical for everyday wear in many situations. Enter the Santa Cruz. I ordered the Espresso colored loafers simply because they were out of the black ones, and they appeared subdued and neutral enough to go with just about any kind of casual attire. I LOVE these shoes! I can wear these with jeans or shorts or even a decent pair of khakis and they blend well with them all. And, they are extremely comfortable on top of that! They have the little nubs on the insole that give almost that light massage feeling while wearing them. I don't typically wear shoes without socks, but I thought I would try since these have a similar feel to traditional Crocs on the inside. Even though these are canvas on the outside, I was surprised at how well they breath! These are possibly the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned! I will be buying the black ones!
