Significant downgrade over the original PowerPlay
This only functions as a charging mat!No integrated lightspeed receiver,No programmable RGB illuminated logo,Only one soft and simple mousepad option. If you can, get the original powerplay which can replace the USB receiver for your mouse, so you only need one USB port for the charging pad and mouse, it comes with two higher quality mousing surfaces - one soft and one rigid.

Read for a TL;DR
Good product, I recommend itHere's what you want to know:No, you cannot pair your mouse and keyboard to it. I have heard this was a feature in the Powerplay 1, but it is not included with this product. If you plug it into a 'USB switch' or a 'USB splitter', and you hear a pulsing rhythmic beeping sound, it does not have enough power to function. Plug into a dedicated port or get a powered USB splitter. No, it cannot charge your phone. The mouse pad material is removable from the top of the charging pad. This means you can put another similar sized mouse pad on it, or put it under your existing desk mat.It does not start charging your mouse until at least 80%, and it stops at 90%. This is a feature to extend battery longevity, not a defect. It does not charge a fully dead mouse. If Its fully dead, plug it in to the USB C.No, It does not appear in G Hub as a device.Cheers.

Downgrade from original
flimsy and cheap feeling, No programmable LED (minor), No longer includes a wireless dongle (major issue), You need to use two USB ports now, one for the mat and one for the mouse. Not readable to G Hub (minor annoyance). Not backwards compatible (coin doesn't work on Powerplay 1 mats). This will not replace the original and will probably end up in a drawer or I'll send it back. Either way, it's really not worth the cost.I'll rate this a 1/10 and probably closer to 0.5/10 for all the downgrades.

Excellent lightspeed wireless charging mouse pad!
-Excellent wireless charging mouse pad-It's compatible with most Logitech lightspeed wireless mouse, as long as you inserted the Powerplay coin which is included out of the box-cloth mouse pad itself is slightly thinner than its predecessor-However, it doesn't come with built-in receiver, nor it doesn't come with RGB lighting which you will need to use your own lightspeed USB dongle receiver in order to take of wireless capability, regardless the mouse you're using.-Other than that, it's working perfectly, easy to setup, and had no issue with battery life and input lag!

Worse in quite literally every single way than the original except one
They've managed to downgrade every single aspect of the original powerplay except for one. There's no more wireless receiver for the mouse built in, which means you need two usb ports to use this. Something they could have helped by adding a usb port to the top of the hub so you could at least plug your mouse in there, but chose not to do to save cost (wow thanks for the measly $20 discount). They made the cable built in so you better hope you never need to replace the cable. They made the mouse puck 2g heavier (seriously how did they even manage this one) which doesn't sound like a big deal but if you use an ultralight you'll notice the difference. Oh you also can't use the original puck with it because that'd be convenient. The rubber feet on the bottom of the pad are HORRIBLE compared to the original, it slides around so much and this is fresh out of the box, it can only get worse as the rubber gets dirty over time. And last but not least they lied. The powerplay 2 isn't thinner than the original, the included mouse pad you use on top is. They just straight up lied, the product itself is the same thickness as the original, they could have just included the new cloth pad with the powerplay 1.This is the future of Logitech, lower quality, same prices. It was good while it lasted but I'm definitely steering clear of Logitech from now on. Can't wait for this to break the second the warranty runs out.

No need to charge or replace batteries, but it’s still effectively a (2 corded) wired mouse
3 stars because the concept of a wireless mouse being charged by the mouse pad is cool, but… I bought a wireless mouse to reduce wires. I understood it needs 2 wires, one for the mouse pad, and the other for the dongle. But I didn’t realize how ridiculous it was until I hooked it up. I mean the mouse is great. I had been using the wired g502 for such a long time the rubber started to wear off. Best mouse ever. I dunno, this one’s cool, but if you’re trying to reduce wire clutter, probably don’t buy it.

Overpriced junk and does not work
The item I received was defective. The led light was on but it would not charge the mouse. Logitech tech support is so understaffed and overloaded with issues that there was no response when I tried to reach support. 20 minutes on hold then booted.Combine that with the fact they removed the wireless receiver from the version 2 and didn't even provide a usb port for a dongle, makes this a return for my money back for me.
