Worth Every Penny!
I couldn't afford to get the more highly recommended monitors and found these during my search for affordable monitors for my home recording set up. I was dubious about purchasing them, but decided to take the plunge and I'm glad I did.If you're looking for your first set of monitors for your home recording, then you cannot go wrong with these. They sound fantastic and they can get pretty damn loud! The sound quality is fantastic and I have already noticed considerable improvement in my mixes because of it.The only down side is that they don't come with cables to connect them to your audio interface, so you will want to save a few sheets to grab some if you don't already have a bunch of cables laying around....and let's be fair, if you've been messing around with home recording or audio engineering for a little while, then you have plenty of cable lying around, so it isn't too much of a problem. But apart from that, I love these monitors and I would happily recommend them to anyone who is starting out with home recording or to anyone who is on a budget.

Great speakers and very loud!
I was going to go for the Mackies at around the same price as these had no reviews but they had mixed reviews. They arrived quickly and well packaged and I was surprised at how well built they were, I expected one to be much heavier (the amplified side) but both were very heavy for their size. Sound quality is unbelievable for such a small speaker and they are very loud and do not distort at full volume with a strong bass good mids and top end too. I am very happy with these and would recommend for anyone wanting a small great quality monitor speaker. I use mine with the DDJ-400 controller for mixing but they will plug into a phone, Laptop, games console or TV

Perfect for the price
I'm with the other reviewers.Sound is great, crystal clear, bassy to a point given they are 4" drivers.Sound is nearly on par with my headphones but allows me to pickup things I couldn't in closed cup.All in all, either decent monitors or decent desktop speakers which I use them for both. Much much much better than my £80 Logitech setup I used to have.

Excellent speaker quality for the price
No background hum when switched on. Fantastic sound quality and sturdily built. Ideal for home studio as compact.

Solid Performer
These monitor speakers are very well made with both balanced and unbalanced inputs , the sound output is excellent crystal clear with no noise and very impressive bass for such a small speaker .

Initial impressions - much better than expected!
I have had these speakers working for a matter of hours and i am extremely impressed! The sound quality is extremely clear and - from what i can hear - extremely neutral which is perfect for mixing/producing. Therefore, if you want speakers with more bass for general listening then i would recommend still purchasing these but just working out the eq balance on them, as the bass is already excellent. However, for my purpose as a music creator these are perfect. Now there is one issue with these speakers - the copper wire that they came with to connect to the passive speaker was extremely short, but you can pick up speaker cable from your local hardware store for quite cheap and cut it down to your size - which is what i did. Additionally, the speakers were connected to a power strip that my laptop charger was connected to, which meant that they were absolutely disgusting to listen to because of (what i could imagine) interference. However, after disconnecting my laptop charger they sound excellent!
