A long read……
This was a long but enjoyable read. Lots of ‘will they, won’t they’ moments. Funny and loved all the Irish vernacular.

Witty and a good read
Another story about one of the Walsh sisters. This time Anna second eldest who has recently given up her high powered job in New York and ended a long term relationship to return to Ireland. She takes a job helping a friend discover who is sabotaging a newly built coastal retreat and gets to know the locals . She gets reacquainted with Joey her best friend's ex whom she has mixed feelings for as they have a complicated history. It is another cleverly written story. Perhaps rather too long and could be shorter and punchier in the middle. Some great lines to enjoy.

My Favourite Mistake
Another great book by Marian Keyes. Great to read about the Walsh family again. It’s five stars from me. Great book.

Should’ve been shorter, far too much ‘padding’ out
I read it all, but wow, was it was a long old slog to do so. It could have been cut down considerably and therefore been more enjoyable; instead it waffled on far too long about the holiday homes, and was literally full of meaningless characters that made brief appearances and were then repeatedly referred to as if you could possibly keep track of so many characters with so little context.I did like the main character thankfully, but her family just got beyond annoying for me. The Walsh family “loveable, old Irish” sctick is dated and not in the least bit amusing - it’s just got irritating now. The mother isn’t funny whatsoever; she’s just self entitled and rude, same with the God awful best friend in the story, Jacqui. Disappointing read and difficult to get through with far too much fannying about for my liking.

Just wonderful
What a wonderful joyful book this is. It made me laugh. Cry and all the emotions in between. Anna is a wonderful character she really is. Would highly recommend reading this book

The Walsh Family - Marian‘s masterpiece
I love the Walsh Family and I am so happy to read the continuation of the stories of the family in later life. I started re-reading the books this year again and just love the development of the characters. It was interesting to see the development of Anna since Aidan‘s death but also so unexpected to see the relationship between narky Joey and Anna.
