Easy on!
The lid works just as expected. It goes on effortlessly and so far has not allowed anything out the top. I will say we do not normally use the lid if we have more than 24/26 ounces. I am sure if it was fuller, say 32 ounces, the lid would blow off.No more fighting to get the original lid on.

Blendtec hardplastic lid is the best for making cold blended, I use it for my small bubble tea /smoothie cafe. I tried both of the soft lids but it takes more time to put the lid on. Too bad 1241971 don't sell it in Canada so I had to buy it in the US

Doesn't keep the contents inside the blender
I thought this would be a great lid to keep the contents inside the blender as I was having issues with the center of the vented lid coming out during blending. WRONG! This top will not stay on unless you hold it down. Also, it does not seal to the edges so I ended up with a big mess from the contents spilling out from every corner when using the whole fruit setting. I wish someone would make a soft rubber Blendtec top without the vents. You only need a vent if you are blending something hot.
