I recently installed this dropper post on my 8-year-old son's mountain bike, and overall, I'm really pleased with the quality and performance. The build feels solid and durable, and the overall weight is impressively light — a big plus when you're trying to keep a kid’s bike nimble and manageable. Installation was straightforward, even for someone who’s not a full-time bike mechanic. The only hiccup was the bolt placement on the seat attachment hardware. It’s a bit awkward to access, which made fine-tuning the saddle position more tedious than it needed to be. That said, once it was dialed in, everything held securely. Functionally, the post works well. My son weighs about 53 pounds, and while it takes a bit of effort for him to push the seat down, it’s manageable for him and he’s getting the hang of it. The added confidence and control he gets from being able to lower the saddle on descents is totally worth it. If you're looking for a lightweight, quality dropper post for a kid’s bike — and don’t mind a slightly fiddly seat clamp — this is a solid choice.

After two different Fox dropper posts started sticking and not extending fully despite repeated servicing, I looked for a different brand. This dropper post has worked perfectly for 6 months now. Its light and easily serviced. Totally happy.

Bought a new frame, was going to use an older 150mm post, but too much post would be out of the frame. Decided to go with one ups newest dropper for this build. So far I'm pleased with this purchase. Install was simple, and post drops and rises with little effort. Paired this to my trusty Wolftooth remote and hopefully it'll give me years of trouble free performance. I like that it's a sealed cartridge and that I don't have to remove my seat to add air pressure like my previous post.
