Good chair in a sea of rubbish ones
I think I've probably bought a new office chair every 18 months or so for the last 10 years as they all seem to fail on one thing or another after that time. It's usually the gas lift gives up, the PU leather starts flaking off or something just falls apart. Maybe it's just inevitable in the sub £150 price range but you live in hope!Anyway, on first impressions this one looks good so far. There was the usual struggle of trying to line up the screws when fixing the seat to the back but nothing that an extra pair of hands or a bit of perseverance doesn't fix. No big problems and shouldn't take you anywhere more than between 15 to 40 mins to put together. After that, well it's very comfortable with decent cushioning on the seat and seems sturdy after a couple of days (a week now).Plus points:1) Flexible armrests are a must for me (musician/guitarist/weird sitter with legs up and sometimes crossed)2) Good neck and back support for a 6'1 male (I can lean back and still rest my head on the back)3) PU 'leather' seems better quality than most and feels less likely to flake than a lot of other chairs I've had before in this price range4) Mobile enough to wheel around easily but doesn't slip around5) Rocks back and forth well with pin out, push pin in for rigidityNegative points:1) A bit fiddly at first to fit the back to the seat but all office chairs seem to suffer from this. Persevere or get a helpful partner to speed things up, not a big deal really2) Plastic caps that cover the screw holes are absolute rubbish and just fall out immediately but put a bit of blu-tac in to hold them (not a big deal at all)I spent a while looking at all the other reviews as I'm getting a bit bored with having £100-£200 chairs fail after less than a year. So this is all after a week or so - if it starts falling apart I'll update the review but it looks better than most I've tried so far.

Looks amazing and feels good
This is nice and easy to assemble and comes with everything you need to assemble + some spare parts it took me about 10/15 minutes to assemble and very fast delivery and very well packaged.

it's not premium but it's not budget
the chair is fine, you will like the recline, and you won't bother with the leg extension (get a lazy boy armchair and a wireless keyboard/mouse set up for that). The arms wobble one side more than the other but haven't fallen off and the piston still works the seat isn't thick but doesn't feel like I'm sitting on wood or screws then again I'm quite light compared to most. I have fallen asleep in the chair a couple of times which depending on the angle when this happens will decide how much pain your back is in after. Will update if it dies but I survived on a £70 chair for way too long so this is an upgrade if you are planning on working from home and sitting in this 8+ hours a day it will be fine for a couple of years before you decide to throw some real money at a chair. TLDR: it's ok but not Herman Miller or something.

Poor quality materials and will start leaning to side after normal use. Don't buy.
This review is regarding model OBG71BUK. I purchased the chair with my own money - it wasn't given to me.I was initially really happy with the purchase, even though I unfortunately bought this chair for a crazy high price of £140 just a day before Black Friday, before Songmics discounted it to £80. I trusted my gut and the brand, having owned Songmics chairs in the past but it very quickly turned into disappointment. I feel scammed this chair came defective and I cannot continue using it just after a few weeks from the purchase.Previously, I owned the Songmics OBG24BUK, which lasted through 8-16 hours of daily remote work, with the armrests remaining as sturdy as new for over four years and I've bought another one just recently while attempting to complete the return of this model. During assembly of OBG71BUK model, I immediately noticed the bad design - starting with the poor choice of materials and ending with extremely weak single-point assembly for each movable armrest part using very short bolts. The chair quickly started leaning to one side with normal daily use causing a lower back pain.I strongly advise buyers to not buy this chair model until Songmics fixes it, while reconsidering the design and materials for the armrests and the rest of their assembly. The bolts are too short to withstand the force of users supporting themselves while simply lifting up from a seated position. Additionally given that the armrests in this model are a moving part, they are expected to be under higher pressure compared to a static chair. Cutting corners on this component is unacceptable. Taking inspiration from the OBG24BUK armrest design and using longer bolts could make the armrests sturdy enough to justify the purchase of this chair for a consumer.

Excellent Chair - A Must Buy
For just over £100 this is a really really good chairI use this for when I’m at my desk or gaming and honestly you can’t fault this chair at all. Yes the arms may be a tad loose but honestly you’ll get that in every chair ! This has a great design, great footrest, height, I’m not the tallest and I find this chair seriously good.Overall a 5* recliner. Well worth the money.
