Dork Diaries 1: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life Audio CD – CD, September 28, 2010

My granddaughter loves these books. She’s in the fifth grade and reads every day. I will continue to buy books from this series/author.

I read part of this just wanting to see why my students liked this series and I can see the appeal for teenagers. This is not a book I would choose for myself but if I were younger, I feel that this would be one that I would want to read. The cover was also pretty.

The book is as I expected. My grand daughter will enjoy it, she is an avid reader. I am more concerned that this item arrived with the box opened. Whom ever was responsible must have decided it wasn't something they wanted. It is so pathetic, pilfering thru others property, and it is obvious that it happened via the carrier since the package was removed from the front stoop as soon as it arrived.

My daughter has often referred to herself as a "dork". She was putting herself down in some way. The term was not used much in my generation, so I looked it up. Seems "dork" started out as a put down but has survived to become a much better term. I read the volume I purchased and told her that the book made me think of her own struggles and how she has handled them. Oh, I also told her, the first book was on me, to see how she does in the future, she'll have to buy more. It's all done in turn but with a lesson to be learned.

I liked the part where she went to the mean girl's house and almost got caught, but didn't, only for the exact thing she was dreading to be revealed later.

We purchased it for our niece. She loves it! It was a great gift and was nicely packaged.

Never just like anything the book was amazing my granddaughter loved me I'm going to be ordering more

S..., looking after my neice for the last month due to family reasons and she came back from school the 1st day with a tatty copy of Dork Diaries #8. It was the only one of the series in the school but she absolutely loved it.She devoured it at over 70 pages per evening whilst reading aloud, we didn't ask her to, she just did it because she enjoyed the book so much.So I bought number one, she's smashed through it in less than a week. As a miserable old dude (37) the story and writing is suprisingly funny and the pics are great!Definately recommend to anyone with a little one of a similar age... already got #2 waiting to be opened once she does her maths homework.

Ich kann dieses Buch nur empfehlen. Eigentlich ist es ja eine Serie. Meine zwölfjährige Tochter hat es zu Weihnachten bekommen. Sie konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen und hat es in zwei Tagen durchgelesen. Mittlerweile sind wir dabei, die anderen Bücher zu bestellen.

Eu utilizo esta série de Dork Diaries com minhas alunas, e elas adoram! Valem muito a pena pelo custo-benefício. Recomendo!!!
