Wish I Had Bought This Sooner
I picked this bread slicer up after hearing it recommended on a YouTube channel, and I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations. After struggling with traditional slicing boards and guide systems, I was ready to try something different, and I'm glad I did. This manual slicer works great and produces much more consistent slices than any of the bread-slicing guides I've used in the past. The hand crank is easy to operate, and the adjustable thickness feature makes it simple to get the exact slice size I want. Whether it's homemade sandwich bread or a fresh loaf straight from the oven, the slices come out neat and even. What surprises me most is that I waited so long to get one of these. It has made slicing homemade bread faster, easier, and far less frustrating. If you're tired of uneven slices or fighting with guide boards, this is a tool that's absolutely worth considering. It's one of those kitchen gadgets that makes you wonder why you didn't buy it years ago.

Love it!
This is an awesome slicer for the price! It is built very well! It allows you to adjust the width of your slice and saves me so much time! The suction cups are meh. I have it on a silicon mat with a lip to help prevent sliding. I use it to slice sandwich loaves and artisanal loaves and it does great. Blade still sharp and slices great after having it for several months. Do not slice your loaf warm though or it will pull it in and your slice will be u even. The only thing I donโt like is that mine didnโt come with a cover for when not in use so some of the blade is exposed. Overall, you canโt beat it for the price.

The Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread!
After years of trying to cut reasonably uniform slices of my weekly sourdough loaves without much success with bread knives and bow saws, I finally broke down and bought this machine. The first time out of the box it worked amazingly well, effortlessly sawing off perfect, uniform slices of bread set to the thickness that I chose, just like the photo in the ad shows. Apart from a few breadcrumbs to knock off and wipe up when you're done, there is no mess to clean up. It comes with two wrenches for keeping screw and bolt tensions correct on the base and the sliding thickness plate. The circular blade is fastened with a Phillips head screw. Simple and effective. Aiding in its flawless bread slicing are its four suction cups at its base. Their suction power is incredible to the point of being difficult to break free when youโre finished. I slipped a dull butter knife under them to pry them from our countertop. Needless to say, the machine did not move an iota during operation. The machineโs design and functioning are excellent, and its overall build quality is good and sufficient to its purpose. The wood and paint are attractively finished. A word of caution: the last slice of bread gets your guiding hand very close to the sharp blade. Iโm going to use a cut-proof kitchen glove from now on. My wife took a short video of me making a perfect slice the first time, but for some reason it would not upload. Too bad!

Buy this one!!
I never write reviews on here but this thing works so well. I went to the store to get bread sliced and the lady at the bakery BUTCHERED my bread she squished all the air out. So I bought my own slicer, thinking it would do an ok job but -wow-. I even made a video for my mom to see how well it works. It almost pulls the bread through once it grabs it. The suction cups hold tight to the counter, and it matches my kitchen :)

I have a few issues with this slicer
So far, it cuts my both fresh and not so fresh sourdough loaves very nice. It does smash down my loaf and the slice as I'm cutting, but both spring back up. But I have a few issues: I have owned this for less than 2 weeks and the dial that adjusts the slice thickness already has loosened, causing my bread slices to be huge. This means I need to find a perfect size wrench and tighten the bolt under the base. I was not expecting this to happen so early. If my use of the slicer caused that, then I'm suspecting this happens after slicing every two to three loaves. And that is cumbersome to deal with. I also wish there was a guard of some sort over the blade on the top where it is currently exposed. I leave the entire slicer covered with a towel on the counter so that my little ones don't slice their little fingers reaching over it for something. Also, the suction is for real! Super great suction that keeps the board from moving when using, but the suction cups are almost entirely covered by the base of the slicer, so it's difficult to get a finger under there to loosen the suction in order to move the whole thing. So I need to figure out a workaround. My husband has to pull out a butter knife to break the seal of the suction cups in order to move it. Overall, I would not recommend this exact bread slicer without sharing my issues with it. It'll do (as long as I can tighten the dial! If I cannot tighten it, then it is essentially useless for me. But I haven't looked for my wrench set just yet).

It's a beast!
After cutting my hand a second time with a bread knife (the crust of the sourdough loaf remnant was hard and the knife slipped), my husband asked me to find something better than the standard bread knife. After some research, I came across this bread slicer. My first reaction was that it's a little pricey. Then my husband reminded me how much the visit to the ER cost. I was also afraid it would be even easier to cut a finger off. I'm not afraid anymore. This thing is amazing! It slices through my sourdough boules like it's nothing. The blade turns in the opposite direction of the crank, so it literally pulls the bread in and down a little. You still have to gently push the loaf through, but it does the majority of the hard work. It's also easy to keep the pushing hand safely on the far side of the loaf. I looked at other bread slicers, but none could handle the large 9 inch loaves that I make. This slicer doesn't care how wide the loaf is. My husband loves sourdough sandwiches, but neither us are very good at freehand-cutting slices evenly. The guide on the slicer is adjustable so you get even, level slices whether you want thinner slices for a sandwich or thicker chunks for sopping up soup. The suction cups hold the slicer solid on the kitchen counter and come up relatively easily by sliding a fingernail under the edge. It's a beautiful piece of kitchen equipment with the real wood base and painted metal crank house, although I might look into a cover so the blade is not constantly exposed. It comes with good instructions and with 2 tools you might need to tighten some bolts if they work their way loose (and there are instructions for that). Note that if you take the blade off to clean it by removing the Phillips head screw, there are actually 3 pieces to keep track of: the blade, a washer on the back, and the very center that holds the screw. I nearly sent the washer down the drain because I wasn't paying attention. I wish I'd gotten this slicer sooner!

Bread slicer is GREAT!
The slicer is safe to use, works great, and is adjustable too! I bought this for a sight impaired friend, as it wasn't safe for him to try and slice his favorite sourdough bread. This slicer is the right color, white, so it shows up on the counter. It is VERY easy to operate and adjust to the right bread slice size. It's sharp enough to slice bread, but not so sharp that it poses a danger. Cleans up easily, and has suction cups on the bottom that keep it in place. He is THRILLED with it! Not too expensive either!. It comes in three colors, black, white, and red.

Best bread slicer ๐
We bought this bread slicer as a gift for my mother in law who loves baking sourdough and other breads. She uses it all the time and loves it! It slices perfect sized slices and is adjustable. My kids often help her slice bread as well and can use it with ease. You can use it for slicing other things as well if you'd like. I'd recommend to all.

THEcutting edge
this is a fabulous item, it does exactly what it says it's going to do, and it was $70 cheaper than a top brand one. It's excellent, I could not be happier with it.

Consistent thickness
Absolutely love this cutter! Never again will my bread have huge variations in thickness. Works very well with nice sourdough breads. Be careful as softer breads will have a bit of an issue with cutting even slices.
