Jumpin' Jim'S Ukulele Tips 'N' Tunes Uke: Ukulele Technique Paperback – 14 Mar. 2007

From a zero musical talent base I found that once I had mastered chord changes (which just takes time and persistence) the biggest problem that I had was determining strum patterns. After 15 months I came across this book and what a leap in my learning and enjoyment not to mention that of my two dogs, wife and son who don't quite so quickly leave the room when I pick up the ukulele. There's a series of strum patterns to learn and the songs have optional chords that really enhance the delivery of the music. I've also taken this learning to toher songs and tried the learnt strums which has proved very successful. I'd recommend this to anyone as an excellent beginners resource, it helps those who struggle with chord changes and those who struggle with strums, a real win/win. Don't hesitate to buy it!

This book might be old school teaching, but has given me confidence to play more than 3 chords songs. It has a basic version of the song, with additional chords in brackets, you can add to the tune as you improve.

I got this for my brother as a gift and he seems to like it. I couldn't tell you much about the content as it wasn't for me!

Really disappointed. I was hoping that this was a beginners guide and although it teaches elements it does require you to have a basic understanding of music reading - the two page tutorial simply doesn't cut it.It's unusable for me, I need absolute basics and this expects you to grasp sharps and flats by page 10.

Thought it very over rated. Sold as great for beginners but only has very few songs before you get onto tricky stuff. Very disappointing
