Does not work with iOS 12
I was excited to see a simplified Logitech presenter that was bluetooth and USB enabled. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with iOS 12 on both my new 11' iPad and my iPhone X. I contacted Logitech support and they said that I should try to turn off, then on, my Apple devices. They both see the bluetooth device, but neither connects. This is going back...oh well

Not usable on bluetooth. Laser gets dim quickly.
I had high hopes that this would be a great solution for my 2018 MBP, which is USB-C only. I hoped that I cold connect with bluetooth and avoid carrying another dongle for the presenter receiver. Unfortunately, this product simply isn't usable over bluetooth. It powers down and loses the connection frequently, and it takes too long to re-establish a connection. I find myself standing in front of the audience clicking the next slide button repeatedly while I wait what feels like 10s of seconds for the device to reconnect. It ruins the flow of my presentations and I had to stop using it.I'm now trying using the device with the plug-in receiver. Latency is low and I don't have issues with the device going to sleep. There is, however, another problem: The laser pointer rapidly overheats and dims. Sometimes I am unable to point at things because the pointer is too dim.The optional Mac software is also fairly useless. In summary, I see nothing redeeming about the product.

The remote cannot pair to iOS devices
I bought this remote only because it can connect to my devices, which don’t have a USB type A to plug the receiver, via Bluetooth. Unfortunately it didn’t work. The pairing process on iOS devices always returns an error. I contacted Logitech technical service for this problem. First, they blamed that my Wifi network may cause an interference that prevents the remote to be connected. I then followed their instructions, even more, I turned off the router and I also went to a place without Wifi signal to try to connect the remote. However, all these steps didn’t help. They then told me to place a replacement on Amazon but Amazon didn’t allow that. Instead, I have to return the remote and then reorder another one. It is inconvenient and I don’t want to be charged again. The Logitech customer service then asked me to call Apple to confirm if it is a bug and ask Apple for a firmware update. Come on, that should be their job to do that, not mine. Totally disappointing and unhelpful customer service. It seems that they’re trying to blame third parties to avoid their responsibilities in fixing the problem.

Bluetooth doesn’t connect to iOS devices
I have another Logitech presentation remote that works flawlessly, however, I needed something with Bluetooth to be able to run presentations off of a 2018 iPad Pro connected to a projector. I bought this based off the Logitech brand, and the fact that it says it works with iOS devices, has Bluetooth, and works with acrobat for PDFs. I have always had success with Logitech and use many of their other products. This presentation remote simply doesn’t work. It does not connect via Bluetooth to any of my iOS devices. It works fine via the usb hub, which completely defeats the purpose of my purchase. I have also tried it on my iPhone, to no avail. The devices shows up in Bluetooth devices, but every time I attempt to pair, I get “Pairing Unsuccessful. Pairing took too long. Make sure “Logi R500” is turned on, in range and ready to pair.” I contacted Logitech support and they are useless, only directing me to change the battery, try another computer, and make sure i’m using the latest operating system. Save yourself time, money, and frustration and avoid this product at all costs. It simply doesn’t work as advertised.

Bluetooth is not working for iOS 12.2 devices - Updated
I've used the R500 (with the com dongle) for about 4 hours everyday for 2 weeks on my iPAD Pro. I'm extremely happy with Logitech's built-in power management. The single AAA battery shows almost no power drain. The Satechi I first tried needed to be charged almost every day. After contacting Logitech support about my inability to use bluetooth to connect the R500 to iOS, they sent me one of their SPOTLIGHT remotes as a replacement and it's bluetooth pairs with my iOS devices with no problems (it does cost almost 3 times as much). The SPOTLIGHT remote has usb-c charger for it's lithium battery that is supposed to last about 3 months on a full charge.Although I find the R500 remote is far superior to the Satechi, their bluetooth implementation is not working for either my iPad Pro or iPhone X - it times-out. I had to a buy a usb-a to usb-c adapter and plug their com dongle into it. Logitech thinks I should return it to Amazon but I need it now so I'll live with it but I bet the adapter will get lost when I REALLY need it to work.

Does not work on Android either
I'll echo everyone else complaining that it doesn't work on their iOS device and add that it doesn't work on Android either. The whole point of getting a bluetooth presentation remote was to use it on bluetooth devices like my phone, but while attempting to present on Google Slides as soon as I press any button on the remote the entire screen gets tinted yellow. I don't even know how it can do that, the r500 must be sending some weird messages to my phone. Logitech has no troubleshooting guide on the subject and the manual is useless. Could not get it to work without the yellow tint.

Seamless transitions!
Over the past 15 years I've gone through a half-dozen presentation remotes. Some worked better than others, but if you are a presenter, you know that ANY glitch, ANY delay can really throw you off. I endured a cheaper Logitech presentation remote for a couple of years but when it died mid-presentation, I decided to order "better" and even though this does cost approximately twice as much ($17 versus $30-something) it is SO worth it. My first use I thought, "Why was I so penny-wise but pound-foolish all these years?", I love this presenter and will never go back to cheap and so-so!

Luz tenue

Doesn't connect via bluetooth to iPad
I use my iPad to teach and bought 'Logi r500'. It works fine with the usb or when connecting via bluetooth to a laptop or desktop. However, it does not work with an iPad. I contacted support (not very helpful). They suggested I update my operating system, which was not the problem. I returned the product and bought another thinking it was a defect with the first. It wasn't; the second one did not work either. The customer support is quite poor. They simply repeat information about the product that is available on-line (which I already read and tried), and were not overly knowledgable about their product. I will return the second one as well. Will buy the 'Satechi' brand as their's seem to work with the iPad.

Works great with iPhone
I use this with the Teleprompter Pro iOS app and it works really well. Pairs quickly each time. Allows me to use my teleprompter for live videos without having to adjust the screen manually.

Funciona bien
Funciona según lo esperado. Buena calidad, sin problemas. Brinda las características básicas, nada más. No tiene funciones especiales o diferentes a productos similares.

Weak laser and more
It just didn’t work: maybe I got a defective item because Logitech has a good reputation. Be that as it may, I ended up buying a different laser pointer/presenter.Ergonomic design has large margins of improvement. The laser red dot is very weak and tiny (batteries charge level not being the cause of it).
