This is a GREAT flat iron - it heats up to over 400 degrees in less than 30 seconds!The only thing that bothers me is the SOUND - I have never had a flat iron that has legit video game-esq sound effects when turning on/off and when adjusting the temperature.The only other minor issue is the outside does tend to get very hot, when curling my hair I like to hold the tip closed over my hair, and I find the end to get hotter than previous Sedu's.This is my third Sedu flat iron in the last 10 years so it's safe to say I am a fan of the product - my previous two still work but with some slight issues (my diamond edition will turn on, and heat up but the alarm that its over heating starts going off less than 5 minutes into use, the other older one just doesn't get as hot anymore).

It works better than the pro version, but it’s not as amazing as the older SEDU Revolution Diamond Edition. Ugh! That thing was THE BEST!!! This one is good though. It’s grip provides enough tension to enable you to use a lower temperature.

This is my second Sedu. Love the product, but why would anyone put a speaker with a loud beep in a flat iron? I can't use it when my husband is sleeping in the adjacent room because it wakes him up. Loud beep when turning on/off is totally unnecessary.

Replacing the one I bought years ago. I think Sedu is the best of the best.

I have used a Sedu flat iron for more than 12 years. I loved my Sedu Revolution 1", it made my hair very straight and very smooth without damaging it. When it finally stopped working I immediately ordered a new Sedu flat iron - the Professional one. My first attempt at using it I noticed it didn't feel as hot as my old one and it wasn't straightening my hair very well, I had to make multiple passes through each section. My husband suggested checking the temp to ensure it was heating up to the 450 degree setting. As you can see from the photos it only reached 377 degrees. The iron had been on for more than 5 minutes so there was no reason why it wouldn't be hot. I tried it again the next day and had the same experience, regardless of what temp setting I chose, the iron wouldn't get hotter than 377 degrees. I have only ever used Sedu flat irons and never before had they let me down until now. I'm disappointed and will be returning this iron. My other complaint is the loud beeping when you turn up the temp and when the iron reaches temp - it's so loud it woke my husband up, he thought it was a fire alarm going off. WHY DO YOU NEED TO HAVE SUCH A LOUD BEEP ON A FLAT IRON????

I wanted to love this flat iron. I had an older model for many years until it finally gave out. This iron said it went up to 450 degrees, it wasn’t hot at all it took me 3x longer to straighten my hair than it did previously, and as soon as I got outside my hair frizzed up. I was so disappointed, I had to return it.

This is my second Sedu flat iron to own. My first one lasted several years before it finally stopped working. I was rough on it too. Dropping it several times, the kids knocking it off of my dresser etc. and it never malfunctioned. I decided to venture out and test all of the newest and most expensive flat irons out there since it has been about 8 years. Chi, T3, GHD, DryBar were some of the others I decided to test. None of them compared to my Sedu so I ventured out to find another fabulous SEDU flat iron. Behold the SEDU PRO!!! I have thick hair that is wavy (80's style) when I allow my hair to air dry which is also highlighted and colored. This flat iron does not fry my hair like the others did. SIDE NOTE: I even used a lower setting on a few of the others since I started to smell burning hair! With the SEDU I do not have that issue. My hair is smooth, straight, shiny and healthy even after almost daily use of the Sedu Pro. If you have never tried one of these flat irons or your SEDU no longer works, trust me when I tell you to stick with this line of flat irons! You wont be sorry! Sedu owner for life!PS - This flat iron lets you know when its ready with a few sounds. Yes, they seem annoying but I'll take the alerts over frying my hair with a silent flat iron.
