iTouchless 16 Gallon Dual Step Trash Can/Recycle Bin with 2 Odor Filters

This trash can has been the champion of our family by far. I personally found it very easy to clean, and it fits very well in the small kitchen we have! While this did replace a larger trash can which caused us to have to take out trash sooner, the addition of a recycling section in an all-in-one unit that doesn't take up a large footprint has been a blessing. So far it has mostly survived all three kids, but not without minor issues. Bear in mind that the stainless steel model *will* show dents and scratches, so as long as you aren't dragging things across it or smacking things into it hard, this is a non-issue. Obviously for me with 3 kids, I cannot and will not complain because it comes with the territory! One of the shocks has failed, and it looks like the other one is starting to fail as well. It appears the leak is coming out of the top seal where the plunger goes through, so it probably just wore out. After 5 years and literally tens of thousands of times absorbing closing forces... Still not going to complain. That is a great service life for something like this! The interior plastic started to break apart, but I think this is moreso caused by us dropping the containers in. Seeing as how it is only one side, I'll leave that up to you to decide if that is a big deal but it doesn't affect structural rigidity or function so again ... Not going to complain! At the end of the day, it has been a phenomenal investment and easily took the place of a larger trash and smaller separate recycling bin. The only thing I wish is that it would stop sliding around, but some quick sticky pad work made this a non issue. If you are looking for a stylish, durable, trash can than can survive the rigors of kids: this will do the trick. While it does have some minor durability concerns, none of them affected operation - as I type this, I have the kids removed and am sanitizing the cans! A great buy I have never once regretted!

I love this. The top part is plastic and it would be better as stainless steel, but not a problem so far. Having an open top is good for me. It never gets dirty and it's just a quick toss to throw garbage away. I'm a good thrower, tho. The other garbage trash cans get all dirty and then you have to clean the top of the can that raises and the edge of the top. This trash can is easy to use and once in a long while I just take a damp cloth and wipe off the curved surface.Watch the price, tho. I spent $99 and shortly afterwards it was on sale for $83 or so. But I love ths anyhow!

Love! love! love! this trash can. Allows me to recycle without have 2 trash cans.

Love the idea of this dual trash/ recycle bin. I wish the trash side was larger than the recycle side. Right now it’s just my husband and I and I feel like I’m taking the trash out every other day which seams like a waste of trash bags since I have so much empty space in the bags when I take it out. I’m using 13 gal trash bags because I still haven’t found a bag I can buy in stores that fits the size of the included trash bin. I also feel like the bags don’t secure super well to the rim, so I can’t stuff the trash as well, but like I said, I am having to use the standard size trash bag. My bin also came with two large dents on the side. Not really sure if it’s worth the price, but I find it difficult to get other people to recycle when the bin isn’t next to the trash can and this was the only one I found aesthetically pleasing. Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase, but I am hoping an affordable option comes out with a larger trash bin and smaller recycle bin.

**Update Dec 2023 - still loving this trashcan three years later! It’s held up, fantastically!*Update 3/4/2022We’ve had this trash can for over one year now and I love it even more than before! It holds to a ton of trash. You can use 13 gallon or 16 gallon bags to pack even more trash in there. I was concerned with no top lid that there would be odors, but there aren’t. However, we have a family of four and usually fill up a bag quickly. The can itself has held up beautifully and we receive tons of compliments on it. Definitely a win with this one!Original post Jan 2021-I have searched for years and patiently waited until I found the perfect kitchen trash can. (Meanwhile, my black Rubbermaid was just fine). I came close to purchasing an open-top round can last year, but I knew round would not work in my kitchen. At last, I came upon this gem!! Who would get this excited over a trash can? Well, I am ecstatic! This can looks great! I was worried about the open top and having my trash visible. Nope, the design hides it from piling over. Also, it fits your standard 13 gallon trash bag and fills it up completely! No more half-filled bags. The carbon odor protectors really do work. I’ve thrown cans of tuna and raw chicken breast in there with no odors whatsoever! I’ve read complaints of these odor shields accidentally falling in the trash, but I haven’t had that issue. They lock on the sides of the can. If you’re on the fence, buy this trash can! I was afraid it would look like a huge commercial trash can in my tiny kitchen but I love it! I’ve attached pictures so you can see the height to a standard counter. The best part of this trash can is the 3-point shots you can take with the open top lid! Score!

Spacious trash can with separate compartments for trash and recycling.

It looks nice, the pedals are great, but the bins are too small. I have a house of four and I need to change the trash bag one to two times a day. The recycle bag I change every other day. If you use your trash often, don't buy this. It's far too small.

I love this trash can and it fits perfectly in our 1977 “Broom closet”. I Iive in Ventura county, CA, where they will not pick up your bins, 3 separate for recycle, organic, and plain old trash, if you don’t separate properly. These are very convenient for me and use regular kitchen trash bags. No assembly required.

Buen producto, lo mejor es que no emite olores en el departamento de Organicos.....

The item is just what I wanted. It is small enough for the space I needed and I can still get a week of garbage in it. It is clean looking and works well.

Good size for my recycled items. I am looking for a similar brand of bin of this size 80L) but with a lid - for trash

This garbage can is rigid and solidly built and I would highly recommend it. I have yet to see how long the deodorizers last, however the addition of two in the can tucked neatly inside works well at eliminating odors. They also are easily accessible for changing out.I would recommend this garbage can if you want a solid well built unit that will last a long long time.It should be noted though that this can's construction requires the use of garbage bags with the can being composed of a dual construction of metal with a plastic bottom.

Great product, would highly recommend.
