Knitter's Pride Knitter's Knit Blocking & Pins Kit

These Knitter's Pride blockers are a very good alternative to pins, since they are like little strips of 8 or 4 pins in even increments. These are definitely a time-saver & are especially good at getting straight corners & edges. These also are well made, sturdy & long-lasting. I've had 2 boxes of these for a longtime, & have used them so many times, & they're still in great condition. While these blockers are not necessary for blocking they make the pinning part much faster & easier with great results. Like most knitting/crochet notions they make a task less tedious. If you don't like pinning, you'll probably love these. I included multiple pics with measurements. I would highly recommend these KP blockers. 5 stars!!

These knit blockers are outstanding, sturdy, and very well made. They hold the edges securely and allow a much straighter edge line to be formed. My blocking has been much more consistent and uniform in a mere fraction of the time. These are sharp so exercise caution when using them. I use a children's cushion play mat, expandable in 1 foot pieces, underneath. I place thin, white towels between my knitted project and the colored mat just in case there were to be any color transfer from the mat although I've never seen even any hint of color transfer to the white towels. I can't imagine not using these blockers after all of the time and effort put into a knitted project. The items are finished beautifully. The blockers come in a sturdy box with slots for each blocker - keep the boxes to preserve your blockers! They remain more protected and sharper when stored properly. Am so happy to have discovered this product on Amazon! Yes, they are a bit pricey but if you knit regularly how important is a fair finish compared to an outstanding finish to your project?! Think of the time and care you put into it.

These are an effective and quick and handy way to evenly block a garment. The case in which the knit blockers arrive seems fairly sturdy, as do the blockers themselves. I found these to make quick work of the pinning so I could more quickly get back to knitting or other things. Really wish I'd bought these years ago, as they give a really tidy result. :)

Super easy knit blockers, where have you been all my life?! The pins are very sharp and stay just where you put them. These really take the tedium out of blocking lace: a process that I used to dread has now become a pleasure. One box is not quite enough for a pointed shawl, so I will be buying more. I've knocked off one star because these blockers are more spendy than they probably should be and - here's the real caution - some of the sharp pin points have tiny little burrs that can snag your knitting if you're not very careful. I mean, burrs so small that you can't really see them, but your fine knitting can certainly feel them. Another reviewer mentioned that she will file her blockers down, which is what I plan to do, except that I worry that filing them may make them more likely to rust with future use - and that would be worse than having the burrs! So, I will ask the folks at Knitter's Pride before taking a file or sandpaper to the pins just to make sure that I won't be causing further problems. These really are very nice tools that I recommend to anyone who dislikes blocking with T pins or wires - just be careful when removing the blockers and support your knitting with your fingers, rather than yanking the blockers out, to minimize opportunities for snagging your fine work.

I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this product. When it arrived, I had just finished and blocked some items so I had no finished projects to try it out with for a few weeks. Yesterday I had a shawl to block, and remembered I'd ordered this and decided to give it a try. WOW!!!! I was blocking a triangular shawl, and I still used my blocking wires, but using these pins I was able to get the entire shawl blocked much, much faster than my old method of using a great many individual T pins to hold my blocking wires. I also found that at the longest point, where I had to overlap two different blocking wires for length that the body of the knit blocker could be pressed down against the overlap and keep both wires aligned to each other and the shawl itself straight. I have to say, I'm extremely pleased with this product and will order another set. I'd guess that this cut the time to block my shawl at least in half and perhaps more so I was very pleased with the purchase. My fingers aren't sore either!!!

These are fabulous. For most items you will need two, perhaps even three boxes but they are worth it, even if you have to buy one box at a time or save up for them. They're a real time saver and work very well. I use them with puzzle block mats. I used to use wires and t-pins but now use these for almost everything. My wires are relegated to a spot under the couch for those few times I need them. For shawl points I still use t-pins but I have seen these used horizontally for that also. I see that some people are saying that they catch the fine yarns. I hold right next to the blocker as I remove them straight up and I haven't had that problem. I use light weight yarns all the time. They stick so deeply that I could see how this could happen, just be careful when you pull them out. They are almost impossible to get back into the box. I ended up getting a Rubbermaid container to keep them in
