Transcend USD300S 32GB microSDHC Class 10 U1 A1 Memory Card without SD Adapter, for Nintendo Switch & Tablets TS32GUSD300S

This is a superficial breakdown of 30 minutes spent with the card, so take it with a grain of salt. Using it with an adapter into a laptop equipped with a decent SSD, you can expect write speeds that constantly dip as low as 9-10 MB/s and go upwards to 28 MB/s. Read speeds usually sit in the high 20s. Haven't tested it straight into a device, so speeds might improve, as shown by another customer with pictures (70+ mb). As for the capacity, as I see this argument popping up over and over again, please educate yourself why the advertised capacity by the manufacturer is different than the one showed by your computer. A simple google search will give you multiple articles regarding this. For all intents and purposes storage is calculated as you would weight, distance etc, by adding zeros to the end. so 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000 megabytes (MB) etc. However due to how computers work, they will not show these values, but instead: 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,024 megabytes etc The bigger the drive is, the more capacity is "lost" in the listing of your device. 128 gb = 1,099,511,627,776 bit 1,099,511,627,776 bit = 137,438,953,472 byte 137,438,953,472 byte = 134,217,728 kilobyte 134,217,728 kilobyte = 131,072 megabyte 131,072 megabyte = 128 gigabyte I made a quick calculation (which could be slightly incorrect, failed math): The amount you "lose" is as fallows: Gigabyte difference = 73,741,824 bytes Since per GB your are "losing" 73,741,824 bytes, then 73,741,824 bytes x 128 GB = 9,438,953,472 bytes, which converted to GB equals: 8.79071 GB (as shown in the picture). Windows machine shows 117 but if we add the "missing" 8.7gb = 125.7, which is closer to the advertised capacity. Also this might be true for write/read speeds as well, and the actual product does not advertise 95MB/s, rather "up to" which is correct. Does the job, but I would use it for complex write and read situations. Only really useful for mobiles and other hand held devices.

I recently bought this to upgrade my cousin's 2DS to a 64GB card so they can play around with modding and homebrew. While the 2DS/3DS have class 4 slots, this is overkill in that regard; it is brilliant when transferring files over from the PC to the card. Works well, what more can I say. I also have the 128GB version in my Nintendo Switch and that has been going strong for many years.

Good, fast and reasonably sized micro sd card. Not the fastest but ok.

Some initial teething trouble, which was just a case of finding an SD adaptor that housed it snuggly (seemed fussier than other cards). For the low price, the card works quickly enough and performs well even with a non-lightweight Linux distro running on it. Of course as it’s not a high endurance card, it can’t be expected to last very long under such heavy duress. Time will tell! Overall for normal storage use, it’s a great buy, and will probably buy again at some point.

I bought this for a Motorola Milestone that I had fixed up and it was perfect. I see a lot of people complaining that this memory card is too small and slow. This is because it is designed for older devices. 8GB is eaten through like nothing by new devices. Of course if you stick it in a brand new Samsung it will feel laggy. If you are like me and buying it for your much loved older devices to breath them some life, then this if for you. Infact this is perfect. If you want to stick it in your new phone then I recommend picking up a new bigger capacity one for slightly more as these are designed for your phone and will save you more in the long run.

2 dieser 4GB Karten habe ich erhalten und unter Ubuntu 24.04.2 mit dem Leistungstest unter gnome-disks "beworfen". Angeschlossen an USB3.0 mit dem UGREEN SD Kartenleser USB 3.0 SD TF. Mittlere Schreibgeschwindigkeit 40 MByte/sec und mittlere Lesegeschwindigkeit 93 MByte/sec. Da will ich bestimmt nicht meckern::) Nachdem ich bei Amazon von anderen Anbietern entweder defekte 4GB-Karten erhalten hatte ( nicht formatierbar, 130 MByte Speicherkapazität bei 4 GByte Herstellerangabe, angeblich mit dem Heise-Test geprüft, ohlalah) oder gleich gar keine Speicherkarte im Adapter erhalten habe, bin ich mit den 2 Transcend 4GB microSDHC-Karten jetzt happy.
