Our outhouse is filled with metal shelving that’s seen better days. The condition has become so bad in places that it gives the impression there’s more rust than metal, so this rust converter paint looked just the job.The paint comes in a 473ml plastic tub with a tightly sealed lid and carry handle. Inside the tub you receive a pair of nitrile gloves and an 80mm paintbrush for applying the paint. The paint is sealed inside its own bag that needs pouring into the tub.At £13.88 (at the time of writing this) it’s very good value, made all the more so by the quality of the paint. This is great quality suff that coats well and reacts with rust spots to stop it from spreading. After a thorough sanding I painted an entire shelving system that’s now clear of rust and looks great with its black coating. I’m confident that the paint will keep the shelving going for many more years.

Black semi-gloss finish metal preserver/restorer paint. Does what it say on the tin.Easy enough to apply. Would work well enough on not rusted surfaces as a preventative shield or to bring tired surfaces back to life (with appropriate prep).I don't like the brake calliper and rotor being used in the listing as an example. DO NOT paint your rotor with this unless you want your brakes to fail! Calliper faces would obviously be fine.The listing states it's heat resistant but there's no information on the heat resistance temperature rating so I wouldn't trust this on things like engines/exhausts etc.A little expensive in my opinion.Otherwise recommended.

Supplied in a nice little pot that doubles as a paint kettle the fluid is sealed in a plastic bag, so no leaks. I have left it in the bag in the pot but you could tip it in I guess. Leaving it in the bag means that I can leave the pairs of gloves and the little brush supplied in the kit in there as well. The paint goes on really easily and does not seem to smell of anything much, it dried really quickly on the old cast stove pipe I tried it on. On a smoother surface it may have more of a sheen to it but as this is rough it looked fairly mat. I am going to try it on some exhaust components to see how it fairs as it is supposed to be heat resistant! As everything rusts or oxidises in this country having anything that slows the process down is a good thing. So far it is looking good.

I was very pleased to receive this product, at the time I received it, it was priced at £21.88 and I consider this to be good value for money. It was well packaged.The product comes in a tub in a bag. It is easy to use - I can't confirm whether it will work for a long time or not.I recommend this product!

I’ve left the egg chair out most of the summer without the rain cover on because It was continually blowing over in the strong winds resulting in rust spots on the frame. This is exactly what I needed to treat it with. Brush and gloves included. Goes on smoothly and my chair is Matt black also so leaving it looking like new.Very happy customerRecommend this product.

The 'Rust Converter Paint - 473ml Water-Based Rust Reformer & Metal Primer, Semi-Gloss Black' arrived in a plastic tub that also contained a number of rubber gloves.I have to admit that I thought the paint had dried out as whilst handling it I heard this thud and rocking it from side to side I heard more.With the lid removed all was revealed the paint was inside a bag, which in my opinion reduces the risk of a spill from a popped lid. After emptying the paint into the tub, I performed a test application on some painted steelwork which has light areas of rust, it applied with ease, and in fact it has a similar viscosity to the previous paint that was originally used when the steelwork was installed. It's a bit hard to know how well it works as everything it is doing if hidden by paint.I did find the name of the product on the tub brought a smile to my face 'Rust-Proof Paint' as I have never seen paint that rusts.

I always find some items at home , which need some preservation and this rust protection found online is versatility, it is heat-resistant paint , useful for any renovation work at home.I used bit to try on small areas of rust on my bike, noticed changes already.Also good thing is that it is useful for other metal products, really great to preserve any valuable equipment or devices.nice to stock one of this box in my cupboard.

i love this can be applied to metal with minor rusting without having to do a lot of preparation work, it is a decent sized tub so will go a long way i am going to use it on lots of things when the weather dries up, things like my gates and metal plant holders in the garden that have started to show signs of rust, i really like it can be applied over rust and that you simply need to wash your brush or roller with water after application, it dries quite quickly needing only a couple of hours between coats meaning i can easily get the job done in a morning/afternoon

Gerade im Außenbereich ist Rost immer wieder ein großes Problem und daher habe ich nach einem guten und vor allem lange haltenden Rostschutz gesucht.Entsprechend habe ich diesen bestellt und wirklich gute Ergebnisse erzielt.Geliefert wird er mit 2 Paar Schutzhandschuhen und einem Pinsel für den Auftrag. Von der Konsistenz ist das Mittel leicht flüssig.Es kann direkt auf eine rostige Metallfläche aufgetragen werden und schließt ihn ein, sodass eine weitere Korrosion nicht mehr möglich ist. Die Trocknungszeit hängt natürlich von der Außentemperatur ab. In Innenräumen brauchte es dafür bei mir ca. 1 Stunde.Aufgrund seiner Konsistenz dringt es in jeden Zwischenraum auf dem Metall ein und versiegelt ihn damit. Bei stärker befallenen Stücken sollte vorab der lose Rost entfernt und mit Schleifpapier nach geglättet werden.Der Farbton variiert nach dem Trocknen ein wenig und hängt vom Untergrund ab. Bei stark verrosteten Stellen sehr dunkel bis schwarz und bei leichtem Rost eher nach einer Lasur.Nach Herstellerangaben können auch andere Metalle damit vor Korrosion geschützt werden, dies habe ich allerdings nicht getestet.Gesamt ein sehr guter Rostumwandler, der hierbei auch eine gleichzeitige Grundierung bietet. Einfach aufzutragen, dringt tief ein und bietet einen langanhaltenden Schutz. Das Mittel empfehle ich sehr gerne weiter.

Der DecorRom Rostumwandler mit Grundierung ist ein sehr effektives Produkt! Es lässt sich gut auftragen und sorgt für eine seidenmatte, schwarze Oberfläche, die Metallteile vor Rost und Korrosion schützt. Besonders positiv ist, dass es auf Wasserbasis basiert, was es umweltfreundlicher macht. Die Anwendung ist einfach, und nach dem Auftragen bleibt eine robuste Schutzschicht zurück. Ein Stern Abzug, da die Trocknungszeit etwas länger als erwartet war. Trotzdem ein empfehlenswertes Produkt für Rostschutz und -entfernung!

Bisher nutze ich Rostumwandler nur als Spray, nun als auch zum streichen. Falls es nicht dünnflüssig genug ist, so kann es mit bis zu 10% mit Wasser verdünnt werden. Das Resultat ist scheint mir identisch mit dem des Sprays. Ich bleibe künftig dabei, ist viel günstiger als das Spray.
