This never worked
Sadly I didn't try fitting this immediately. The day after the return window had closed I replaced my failing battery to find this one didnt work. Amazon absolutely no help getting a refund Initially left 1 star review but seller immediately messaged and sent replacement which sadly did not work either. They then promptly refunded me my money.

Unfortunately not fit for purpose
Unfortunately this battery is useless. When fully charged, the original battery can provide 15 minutes work at full power. This battery gave 3.5 minutes and then cut off. A red light comes ON, indicating a fault- I think the batteries overheat since they are not designed to output the necessary power for the Dyson Animal 10. The battery becomes rather hot and probably is not a good idea to leave it charging unattended. Also one pressed the ON button the vacuum-cleaner does not start right away-it takes some 1-2 seconds and then it starts. RED light always come after a few minutes of use. I am returning this battery. Not recommended

Great Replacement
Original Dyson battery never really lasted long enough to whiz around my whole home. This battery does the trick with plenty to spare. A new filter is also handy.
