Carpuride W502B Pro for B.M W Motorcycle CarPlay & Android Auto

Don’t have this specific product anymore as I returned to buy the bigger screen model, but this one was perfect as well. Easy to install, easy to use, good value for money considering the price of newer cars just to get the built in CarPlay feature, and very good functionality and connectivity options. Good brightness and picture quality, best audio connection through FM radio, good quality picture on the dash cam. The main thing I liked about this one over the model I bought and now use is this dash camera is centered which I preferred. Didn’t install the rear camera but it’s a good little size and connects up through the reverse light. But in summary, good priced product to bring an older car into the 21st century.

A quality, classy product, but dash mounting bracket (as supplied) would not comfortably fit my Ford B Max, so had to return.

Phenomenal for the price. Been using this for 18 months or more, it’s a fantastic addition to a Land Rover Defender (not the hairdresser one). Uploaded a splash screen logo, works CarPlay beautifully and, well. It just works. Wired into the stereo Aux, audio quality is grand. Dash cam would benefit from GPS & speed. Occasionally crashes in CarPlay BUT I think that’s the dash cam function causing it. Reset the settings and memory card and it’s fine for a long time. ** Update: June 2026: ** 2 Years in and I decided to tackle the crashing issue. Carpuride support have been super helpful and when the downloaded firmware didn’t upload, they posted me a CF card with the update primed and ready to upload. That’s above and beyond by any standard - so impressed and totally not what I expected. Great experience so far and it remains and outstanding piece of kit.

The reversing camera on our old MPV failed recently. Rather than simply replacing it with a new dedicated reversing camera and screen unit, we decided to try the W903 as it offered front and rear dash-cam functionality, but also android auto. The 'wide screen' layout of the W903 was another consideration as the relatively compact dimensions mean that it doesn't really intrude into the drivers field of vision. Installing the unit can be very quick & simple if you choose to use the cigarette socket for power with 'loose' wiring. This method makes it easy to move from car to car as required. I elected to hide the all the wiring under the dashboard for a (slightly) more OEM appearance. On request, Carpuride also provided me with a boot logo image for my car to add a little to the OEM look. Routing / concealing the rear camera wiring was the most time consuming, but worth the effort I think. I bought a 2 meter extension cable for the rear camera wiring as my car is quite long. The cable is a generic 4 pin type and readily available. It is possible to calibrate the reversing guide lines for the rear camera to match the width of the vehicle and the distance to any obstructions. The built-in voice commands to turn the screen on/off work well for me, but it ignores my wife's attempts at voice instructions (I do too at times). Although I rarely play music in the car, I connected the W903 into the car audio system via the AUX socket and it provides decent enough sound. For me, the ability to have Google Maps on the larger screen of the W903 is probably the most useful feature of android auto. The main reason for purchase was to have a reversing camera function and it does this well enough. The camera is mounted on the inside of the rear hatch. I connected the trigger wire to the reversing light circuit and the rear camera operates immediately when reverse is selected. It can also be requested via the voice commands, but you don't get the reversing guide lines if you activate it this way. I suspect the unit can actually do more than I want from it, but thus far I've been very satisfied with my new unit.

I have been using this product for around seven months now and overall, I’m quite happy with it. I mainly use it for navigation and really like the screen size. The dashboard mount sticks very well, although I wouldn’t recommend the suction mount as it can obstruct the view through the windscreen. The video quality is good and the system is easy to navigate. However, the brightness can sometimes be difficult to see in very sunny conditions due to screen reflections. I really like the FM transmission feature as the audio output is loud and clear. However, I’m only giving this product 2 stars because the 12V cigarette charger stopped working after just seven months of use. I now have to use a separate cigarette charger and a USB-C cable to power the device, which means I can no longer use the FM transmission and charge my phone at the same time. That has become quite frustrating, and I didn’t expect the charger to fail so quickly after only seven months!

On the plus side, this screen starts up fast and easy to customise. Helps with navigation and it is less likely that you are going to touch your phone. I can't comment on the front camera, because I don't use that function but the rear camera works well and the guide lines can be calibrated digitally. On the down side, the screen is not as high resolution as what you are probably used to, on your devices but totally usable. The sound quality is a bit boxy but when you connect to your car stereo, it doesn't matter. The only thing I struggled with is suction. It's light but still a big screen. The suction pad didn't stay on the dash, there is a disk with soft glue but that didn't stay on either. The safest one is suction on the windscreen but it could be partially blocking your view on the road as the telescopic arm is not long enough. (KIA Sportage) Currently it is sitting on the short holder, which is fixed to dash with a double tape but I'm not sure what would happen to it if there was an emergency brake or collision. I will have to find a longer arm and stay with the windscreen.

Kept on rebooting. Found out it was the dodgy free memory card that comes with it. Put in a proper fast card and works fine so far. Cameras are good quality and with hardwire kit hides all wires.

UPDATE: The disconnecting problem was caused by GOOGLE/Android! Android version 16! HOW TO FIX: Step 1: On your Carpuride device, tap the Superlink option to switch to Android mode. Step 2: On your phone, open the Google Play Store and search for and download the Evelink (Superlink) app. Step 3: On your phone, open the Evelink (Superlink) app, tap Settings - App Version - check if the app version is the latest (20260318-1057). If not, tap Software Update. Step 4: On the app, tap Cast - Add - WiFi Direct - Failed to OBTAIN NEARBY DEVICE PERMISSION, Click to APPLY IT - Allow - search for your Carpuride device's WiFi name and connect. When you see the "Android 16 Auto Connect issue Fixed" message, tap OK. Step 5: Switch the Carpuride device to use the A-Auto function. On your mobile phone, reconnect the device's Bluetooth to use A-Auto. Check if the disconnection problem still occurs. Original Review: I am using a Google Pixel 10 (Android), and it keeps disconnecting from this device! I have tested my phone, and it works fine with all other devices. I have updated all the software on my Google Pixel 10, but there have been no improvements. I have updated all the firmware on the device, but there are no improvements. I have formatted the device back to factory settings, but again, there are no improvements. This product is completely broken for the Android Google Pixel 10, and by looking at other reviews, it has been an ongoing issue, but it has still not been fixed! Avoid this product if you're an Android user.

5 estrellas, mi esposa tiene un se tira 2017 y está muy feliz parece carro del año, tiene su CarPlay que funciona perfecto la pantalla tiene muy buena sensibilidad y el micrófono funciona muy bien para Siri incluso escuchando música fuerte, lo que más me sorprendió fue que las cámaras están grabando todo el tiempo!! Si algún día tiene algun percance tenemos pruebas y se distinguen placas a la perfección, excelente compra

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is uitstekend, gezien de uitgebreide accessoires. De achteruitrijcamera is momenteel niet aangesloten, aangezien dit enige tijd en expertise vereist. Mijn Samsung Galaxy S23+ functioneert probleemloos in combinatie met het apparaat. Onlangs heb ik een update van het apparaat willen uitvoeren en contact opgenomen met [email protected]. De ondersteuning was uitstekend, met name gezien mijn gebruik van een Mac in plaats van Windows. Na het ontvangen van een downloadbestand dat specifiek voor Windows bleek te zijn, en na mijn melding hiervan, werd er direct een SD-kaart toegestuurd zonder bijkomende kosten. Daarnaast is er een nieuwe zuignap kosteloos verzonden, nadat de originele niet meer naar behoren functioneerde. Het pakket werd binnen anderhalve week geleverd, inclusief track & trace informatie. De verzending verliep via DHL. Deze positieve ervaring wil ik graag delen, gezien de uitzonderlijke service en klantgerichtheid die ik heb ervaren!

Habe einige Android Auto Displays probiert aber dieses ist bisher das beste. Habe es nun 3 Wochen im Urlaub mit dem Wohnmobil gestestet und bin (nach Hilfe durch den Support) super zufrieden. Gegenüber dem eher viereckigen 7 Zoll Display was wir vorher hatten ist dieses wesentlich besser fürs Sichtfeld im Fahrzeug bei gleichzeitig größerem Display. Bild ist gestochen scharf, Helligkeit (automatisch geregelt) auch bei Sonnenschein gut. Einzig das Display könnte etwas mehr entspiegelt sein. Es reagiert wesentlich schneller als das alte und ist gut und flüssig zu bedienen. Außerdem startet das Gerät in wenigen Sekunden. Bei unserem alten musste man schon mal 20-30 Sekunden mit dem Ausparken warten bis es hochgefahren und die Rückfahrkamera ready war. Also erstes getestetes Gerät behält dieses auch die Uhrzeit. Dies ist vor allem für die Dashcam Aufnahmen entscheidend. Beim alten mussten man nach nur einem Tag mühselig die Uhrzeit neu einstellen. Die Dashcam ist hier in der Höhe zu verstellen was ebenfalls top ist bei der Anbringung im Wohnmobil. Nach circa 3 Tagen Fahrzeit zeigte sich allerdings ein Problem: Das Gerät fing an circa alle 30 Sekunden neu zu booten. Nach erneutem Formatieren der Micro SD-Karte war das Problem allerdings erstmal weg. Habe den Support kontaktiert und diese haben mir dann sehr schnell ein neues Firmware Update zur Verfügung gestellt. Kommunikation mit dem Support war vorbildlich, schnell und in Deutsch. Das Update sollte das Problem generell lösen. Ich hab dieses sofort installiert und für den Rest des dreiwöchigen Urlaubs ist das Problem auch nicht wieder aufgetreten. Ein Überhitzungsproblem habe ich auch niucht festgestellt. Allerdings habe ich sowohl Videoaufnahme als auch Kameraauflösung auf den gleichen Wert (bei mir 720p) eingestellt. Bei unterschiedlichen Einstellungen muss das Gerät ja eventuell umständlich konvertieren vor dem Abspeichern was die Auslastung und damit die Temperatur in die Höhe treibt. Hinweis: viele Nutzer beklagen sich bei vielen Android Auto Geräten über ein aktuelles Problem das die Verbindung über Android Auto abbricht und dann nach einiger Zeit wieder aufgebaut wird. Das ist ein Google Problem das mit den letzten Updates von Android Auto und Android 16 auftritt ! Trotzdem hat der Hersteller (und einige andere vergleichbare) hier einen Fix (s. Beschreibung zur EveLink App im Video) entwickelt. Traurig für Google das sie es nicht schaffen hier schnell einen Fix für den selbst verursachten Fehler bereit zu stellen. Habe nicht alles Funktionen (wie Fm-Transmitter, "SuperLink" etc.) getestet aber insgsesamt von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung für dieses Gerät um auch ältere Fahrzeuge etwas "smarter" zu machen.

Ottimo prodotto, facile da usare e da configurare, in quanto fa tutto il sistema android del cellulare. Configurazione di base del carpuride molto semplice. Collegato allo stereo della macchina in bluetooth, facili istruzioni a video per l'accoppiamento. Avvio di Android auto necessita il tempo di accensione macchina e fare la manovra per uscire dal parcheggio (10 secondi cronometrati). Telecamera impostata a 4K, in quanto sennò il video viene sfocato. La ventosa ha una resistenza perfetta (non riesco più a staccarla 😅) con vibrazioni quasi nulle (braccetto tutto esteso). Collegandolo via bluetooth funzionerà il microfono dell'auto e non del w903. Funziona ottimamente con i comandi vocali se impostate che deve interrompere la riproduzione audio quando vi accedete. Lo consiglio a chi vuole rendere un auto vecchiaia una moderna con tutti i sistemi innovativi di android. I video non li riproduce, solo audio, in quanto è una protezione di Android Auto per non distrarre alla guida. Schermo Touch preciso.
