Funko POP! Disney: Moana - Tamatoa,Multicolor,Basic

My two year old is obsessed with the song shiny and takes this guy with him everywhere! It’s the only toy I could find of him!!! So cute!

This even looks better when it arrived - well made & the colors are vibrant which is great as we intend to use it as a prop during my kid's Moana 2 themed Birthday party - birthday girl loves it & couldn't be happier with this purchase as it was exactly as depicted - highly recommend for anyone looking to buy Moana inspired toys...!!!

For the collectors: Box was a bit bent. Paint is tight and bright. Detailing is great. Looks good in or out of the box.For the rest of us: This is such a pretty Pop. Having Maui's hook on his back is such a nice touch. Also there are sparkles mixed in with the gold paint to make him extra shiny. His antenna seem like they could break off if you're rough with it, but you'd have to be pretty aggressive. Just a super little Pop.

Our family is full of Funko fans. The three of us each have our own, including our toddler. Our daughter loves Moana, and Tamatoa is one of her favorite characters. Since she already has some other Funkos, we decided to pre-order this one. At first, the big toothy grin was a bit much for her, but by the next day, she was running around with this Pop and singing "Shiny" with him. This has the same great quality of all our other Funkos and we feel comfortable allowing our 2-year-old to play with this without supervision. There is quite a bit of glitter on his back so, if you have an aversion to glitter, this is not for you.

To start off I just have to say he's gorgeous, and both mine and my boyfriend's favorite Moana character so we just love the amount of detail put into this little guy. I read a couple of reviews stating he's missing a leg, but to clarify, he's missing a leg in the movie! It is not broken. This is not a toy, but a collectible. It's meant to be admired so I wouldn't recommend you buy it to serve the purpose of a kids toy or a cake topper because it does shed a lot of glitter. I don't know if it's harmful to ingest or not, but it's never bad to be precautious.

For some reason I thought this was going to be larger, but now that I have it in person, OMG, it couldn't get any cuter. Tamatoa is so colorful and, of course, SHINY! I love his little grin and the fact that he fits in the palm of my hand makes him look cute and harmless even though we all know he was really a butt. This Pop was really well done. The images online do not do him justice, his colors are a lot brighter in person (as you can see by my photos). He looks so perfect next to my Te Fiti Pop. Absolutely adorable!! My new favorite Funko!!

Tamatoa himself looks awesome! Great details. Def sparkles like a wealthy woman's neck. What’s not awesome is how he sits in the box. It is NOT as shown in the photo with his face facing forward. Instead your choices are either to look at his back or his belly. If you want his back which is certainly the more interesting part and you also you want to see his face thru the top, then his name is upside down. Just wished he faced forward & out like the image shows. Looks goofy kinda on my shelf. Still love him tho! Definitely not to be played with. This Pop is strictly for display—he’s way too fragile to handle out of the packaging.
