KALA HEALTH MSMPure Fast Dissolving Fine MSM Powder Crystals – US-Made MSM for Joint Health, Skin Appearance, and Hair & Nail Support – 1 lb, Organic Sulfur

I’ve been using KALA HEALTH MSMPure MSM powder for a few weeks and it’s been great so far. The powder is super fine and dissolves really fast with no clumps, which makes it easy to take every day. The taste is mild, so mixing it into water or juice isn’t a big deal. I have tried other products but this one seems more effective and the price is good. I’ve noticed some nice improvements in joint comfort and recovery, especially after workouts. My skin does look a lot better. I was very surprised to see this. Overall, really solid product and I’ll keep using it.

This isn’t my first time taking MSM, but it’s my first time trying MSM powdered crystals, and I can already tell it’s going to be MUCH more effective! The fine powder easily dissolves in water— it’s pretty bitter though, so I mix a Tbs of MSM in about 1/2 cup of water kefir soda, drink it like a shot, then drink a full glass of water kefir afterwards to wash it all down. It’s definitely not my favorite flavor in the world, but after feeling an energy boost during the past few days, I already know it’s worth it! I’ve taken 1000 mg MSM capsules or tablets nearly every day for 10+ years (primarily Solgar, Now or Solaray brands ), very recently upped my dose to 2000 mg, and never felt any energy boost from capsules or tablets before. I originally started taking MSM to alleviate the creaking and popping in my knees (which it helped for many years) and for my achy back, and after taking it for a while, I also noticed my asthma symptoms were reduced, so I definitely think it has an anti inflammatory effect for me. I also have far fewer grey hairs and better skin than most people my age (no wrinkles at all, and my skin is still very smooth and supple). I now have very severe arthritis and DDD, which we think must have started 20 years ago, and I decided to up my MSM intake since. I can’t tolerate the Rx anti inflammatory meds. I’m really glad I found this because after only a few days, my joints already feel a little more lubricated, and I get a nice non-jittery energy boost almost immediately after taking it. Typically, before starting with this powder, I could sleep nearly all day long because of my pain levels, but not any longer, so I know this is good stuff! No digestive side effects or other negative reactions— other than the bitter taste, it’s all good! I honestly don’t think it would’ve been possible for me to manage my arthritis and DDD for so long without any Rx meds or other interventions if I hadn’t found MSM so long ago. I just wish I’d found this brand and this formulation much earlier! For the last 18 months I’ve also been using Kaia Health MSM gel as a topical treatment on my face, and also mixed in with my body moisturizer, and occasionally on my swollen knees, and I’ve been very happy with the results. So when it was time to try a powdered form of MSM, I knew exactly which company to trust. By the way, I purchased this product myself and paid the full retail price from Amazon, and I’m not receiving any discount or other consideration for this review. I rely heavily on reviews when I make purchases online, so I hope this is helpful for you, too! I’ll update my review if anything changes, but so far, this has exceeded all my expectations!

I've been taking 2 scoops of Jarrow's MSM power for years (1 scoop is 1 gram). It helps your skin stay plump and glowing (it helps with collagen building), it makes your hair and nails grow faster (which i don't particularly like but put up with), and it also keeps you limber. i always feel like a creaky 80 yr old woman a day after I've forgotten to take it! It's also safe to give it to your dog to help keep them limber and/or help them with the pain of arthritis. I decided to go with this brand when I couldn't find Jarrow's MSM powder anymore. I picked this one because, like the Jarrow's MSM, it's "Opti-MSM," which gives me the assurance that it's been created in a clean lab, certified pure and made in the USA (to me, this is the most important thing). It's got .1% of silicone dioxide mixed in to keep it from clumping (or maybe they added it to keep it from clogging their machinery, who knows). For the most part, I think it's just as good as Jarrow's MSM. The taste is no different and I don't particularly care that it's got .1% of silicon dioxide added to it, as there is nothing dangerous about silicon dioxide unless it's in a very fine powdered form that's so fine it can create a cloud of dust when shifted (the possible danger comes from chronic inhalation). MSM powder just isn't fine enough to do that in my experience, so I'm not worried. The one thing I DO find annoying about it is that the container has some clumps. They're easily broken up by stirring or smushing with a spoon, but I never had this problem with Jarrow's MSM (Jarrow's also had "trace amounts" of silicon dioxide so I'm not sure what's up with that). Still, it's not a huge problem, and it's easily taken care of. BTW I've read that you should drink MSM pretty soon after you mix it with anything because MSM can deteriorate/evaporate quickly (it's definitely not meant to be stored once you mix it). This also means you should mix it with your dog's food (NOT their water) if you plan to give it to them. My dog has always gotten a couple spoonfuls of soft food mixed in with her kibble so she's never noticed the MSM I add to the soft food. If you don't give your dog soft food though, you could just sprinkle the MSM over the kibble and add a little bit of water to dissolve it all.

So, first of all, let me say I have been taking MSM for more than 2 decades. I started back when it was mainly an equine supplement (for horses). This is now the only brand I use. I recommend it to family & friends, I even give it to my pets. About this product: It is far superior to most out there 1) in effectiveness- the lack of binders/fillers DOES make a difference 2) in safety- optiMSM's purity means no contaminants like arsenic 3) in ease of use- the powder dissolves instantly in anything 4) in value- at just over $22 per lb the cost is miniscule compared to other brands or forms. I find that both the coarse & fine powder work & dissolve equally well & leave no taste when diluted enough, even in water. The only differences I have seen is that the fine powder works better in topical lotions & creams while the coarse is easier to scoop into empty capsules. I have also noted that many MSM products that contain fillers or are not optiMSM can cause stomach upset or gas. Not so with the Kala brand. In fact, I take this to help alleviate GI discomfort from a chronic bowel issue & it works great! About MSM itself: It is one of the most effective & safe anti-inflammatories there are. It is the dietary form of the topical anti-inflammatory DMSO (which, while extremely effective, is terribly unsafe for many reasons & is now only used on large animals). As effective as NSAIDs with none of their side effects. Studies have shown it can be taken in doses as high as 15 g with no ill effects, though the typical dose is 1000 mg 1-4 Times per day. Unlike other anti-inflammatory it also helps with connective tissue construction & repair. I began taking it for allergirs/asthma & for a congenital skin problem. It has worked wonders. Basically anyone concerned with inflammation (arthritis, asthma, allergies, various autoimmune conditions) or issues with their connective tissue (even related to aging) can benefit. Another little known benefit is that MSM, as a source of organic sulfur, helps the body utilize Omega 3's. If you take fish oil, take it with this. It works best when combined with vitamin C. It is not necessary to take it on an empty stomach or with food, whatever your preference. MSM is not a miracle cure, but it is one of the most beneficial supplements with a lot of good research behind it. This brand is superb & for the cost is well worth trying.

This has been an awesome find for me! I stumbled upon this after reading about DMSO. I ended up getting a book on MSM and ordering Kala Health's MSM at the same time. After 3 days I noticed I had less pain in my shoulder. I am recovering from a Ream and Run which is a partial shoulder replacement. As for my knee, there is nothing wrong with it medically but I have excruciating pain when squatting, decreased range of motion, less than 90 degrees and strong pain just standing, walking or sitting and it would swell up after any kind of deep bending in my attempts to rehab it. After 5 days of MSM 80% of the pain was gone. I have been taking it now for about a month in a half. I bought the 10 pound tub and I take it 2 to 3 times a day depending on my activity level. I now have no pain in my knee, I no longer take Advil or prescription anti-inflammatories. I can do full squats and walking around I feel like a well oiled machine. I actually have to correct my walking because I noticed that I developed an odd gait as a result of walking around in pain for so many years. My wife started using it and a slow to recover shoulder injury was 80% better in three days, she no longer has knee pains and she does not take Advil any longer where she used to take it every day. I have told about 8 to 10 people about it and at least 5 have ordered from Kala Health, I emphasize that they should buy their brand. Every one who has tried it has noticed something beneficial from it. I sent a 1 pound container to a friend across the country because I knew he could use it. In the book it says it works for about 70% of the people who try it. I am happy that I am in that group. i have tried all kinds of things for pain and inflammation as I do a lot of martial arts and teach and train with kettlebells and used to compete in kick-boxing. All of my injuries came from my competitive days, gym wars, kicking an elbow, tearing a rotator-cuff, arthritis at the site of most of these injuries and I have spent a lot of time rehabbing and focusing on correct movement programs. I have tried glucosomine, chondriton, Cumin, and a lot of supplements that were of the highest quality and received no benefit from them. This works for me! As for customer service, Kala Health is beyond reproach, I am a Prime member so it comes quickly and it works. So no worries. I do not know about any of their other products, but based on this one I would definitely order from them as the quality of the product is very important to me.

I bought this on the notion that it is a pain reliever and it made me feel bad one the first day of use. I did not know that MSM is a sulfa compound and I am highly allergic to sulfa. Since I only used it two days, I cannot comment on its effectiveness. There should be a warning on it that it is a sulfa compound for those who are allergic to sulfa drugs. Also, it has a very bitter taste that is even detectable in coffee with sugar and cream.

I believe it's helping my knee to be pain free and stronger!!! Or it contributes on top of the glucosamine and knee exercises! I put only half teaspoon in a glass of cold water...dissolves right away...I add half a slice of lemon and little bit of ice and its delicious!! I sip the water within 15-20 minutes. This way its not bitter at all.!! Well..if you put it in room temperature water, no ice, no lemon, could be a little bitter and not motivated to drink it. I've been taking it almost 2 weeks now and yes, i see an improvement to the knee pain and also my energy, I walk better and able to accomplish more things as far as housework!! I recommend it, go ahead and try it!!

Wouldn't want to be without MSM! What a difference . . . Heals the body. Suggest you read the book on MSM to see all the possibilities. I had Nuropathy for months, couldn't sleep, annoying and painful. After MSM gone in 2 days. We also started sprinkling it on our dogs (3) food. Our 12 year old Bouvier struggled to get up and now she RUNS up the deck stairs!!!

Been using it till half the bottle is gone now but not much hep in my opinion. Maybe for others its effective but not for me.

I don't know if this is possible, but I only started taking this a week ago and I swear my constant back pain has almost disappeared! I have tried many different MSM products, and nothing has even come close to relieving my aches and pains like this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

If you have chronic inflammation issues, you have to try this. Nothing else gives my joints relief, including MSM pills. I'm not using the word miracle. But damn close. Taste isn't too agreeable but it's worth it. I dissolve it in coffee most of the time. Frankly it could taste like dog poop and I would still use it every day. YES it's that good.

The product is well and securely packaged. The taste is unpleasant but easier to take with lemon juice.I am hoping the health benefits will out way the taste. I can not take pills or capsules easily
