Coleman Wheeled Cooler

For my purpose, this cooler fits the bill almost perfectly.THE PURPOSE:I needed a reasonable size container that was heat efficient and cost effective for use wuth a sous vide circulator. A lid is required to retain heat and ensuring minimal water loss from evaporation.THE SOLUTION:For small batches, I use an 8 quart cooler (with a Perspex lid I made for it) to great effect - very useful for single or small items, but not practical for large loads. It did however start the search for a cooler that would fit the bill, and this one came to the fore pretty quickly.The Anova sous vide circulator mounts easily in a corner. The lid was relatively easy to cut out and sand to fit the shape so that it could be opened and closed with the equipment in place, and it has plenty of room: at Thanksgiving, this was given over to the vegetable program, so it operated with water at 183 degrees for over 4 hours, cooking vegetables for 14 people (five different gallon bags for most of that time), without a hint of problems.ISSUES with this solution:- I will have to seal the cut-out in the lid, as hot moisture accumulates in there during cooking. Not a big deal (a small tea-towel over the gap fixes the problem), but less efficient than perfect.- There is a hole in the lid! I was looking at making a perspex lid to slip in place, but the "right" solution is more expensive than a second cooler...ADVANTAGES with this solution:- decent sized water bath that holds temperature effectively- almost completely eliminated water loss through evaporation- sturdy handle made moving the whole kit and caboodle a breeze when needed, without fear of hot water spillage- lit still latches closedAll told, almost perfect for my needs.

Good cooler at a good size.The first time we used it was on an 85 degree sunny day. It was opened several times, and sat out in the sun, while we ate lunch. It then sat in our car (closed) with windows up for a few hours in an unshaded parking lot. By the end of the day (8 hours after we packed it), the ice packs inside still had some chill to them, and the drinks were refreshingly cold. This was much better than the "bag" cooler we had been using previously, where the ice packs would be completely spent and the drinks undesirably warm.There may be better insulating coolers available, but at this price point, we're very happy with it.

Love this smaller cooler.Great for taking out everyday when I want to carry water and keep it cold Also take it to store (with ice packs) so I can keep grocery items cold until I can get home . I don't have to hurry home in summer to take milk, cheese, meat etc cold - just pack them in this small cooler as I need and then keep items cold till I get home hours later.Love the size - just right for what I need it for.Very happy with size, style, durability, and keeping stuff coldHighly recommend and use frequently on weekends even in winter

The only reason this is four stars is I ordered this on the 16th of July. The shipment was delayed 3 times for whatever reason. I finally received it on the 22nd of August.This is a awesome cooler I use it for work. Not too large or small and will fit everything. Plus it’s American made.

I was looking for a small cooler to put my pre-made protein shake, so it would be nice and cold after I was finish working out. I was going to purchase a yeti roadie but I couldn’t justify spending over $200 for a small cooler. Then I happen to come across this one on amazon. At the time I believe is was only $20 so I figured I would give it a shot. Overall, I’m very happy with it. I was loading it up with ice from fridge, ice only last a day at most. So instead I purchased some ice packs and it’s been flawless. Holds a good amount of stuff too. I usually put a protein shaker cup and a gallon from costco in the container.

I love bringing this cooler to the grocery store with me especially in the summer months when I buy anything that needs to be kept cold. Compact but you have a lot of room in it. It's great when we go away to hotels, we use it for getting ice and it keeps ice for a very long time. Highly recommend it.

I keep this in my car, either for cold drinks for a trip, or bringing frozen things back from the market. It’s not tiny, and stays cool for hours with a couple of frozen plastic liter bottles of water.

If you need an inexpensive cooler for your everyday needs, this is the one. I mainly take this cooler with some food and drinks for when I go snowboarding on a day trip. With some ice or ice packs (i have about 1-2 inches thick of ice at the bottom), this guy will keep everything cool for the whole day.As for size, not super bulky, so you won't be waddling around trying to hold it.
