Q: Does this work with already color treated hair? I have long, thick, coarse hair that I've dyed dark brown/black.

Yep! If you have long thick hair, get several kits though. It works on color treated hair like a snap, however the amount of powder is skimpy. I had shoulder length hair when I lightened and my hair is thin but I have a lot of it and I nearly needed two kits. That is my ONE complaint with this product. I had NO damage from it, I had NO problems with over drying or over processing, it lightened quickly, and it was excellent, just not enough powder. I do recommend putting on a shower cap (or a grocery store bag if you're poor like me) and wrapping your hair in a towel, it will process much faster. If you don't then you will get the over processing and over drying because it stays on too long. Just my two cents. Good luck!

Q: is 30 stronger or weaker then 40

40 volume is restricted for off the root application only, for the most stubborn coarse hair, such as asian & ethnic hair. it will cause chemical burning if applied to the skin, & is mainly used on the mid shaft of a customer with very healthy, uncompromised hair for short periods, with absolutely no heat. as to bust through the deep brass layer, making future lightening sessions easier & less substantial. the only exception to on scalp treatment is to paint the customers scalp & surrounding perimeter completely in vasalin protective ointment prior to the brush on application. we applied the product as a group of 3-4 & it took under 5 min to process mostly. it cannot be applied to pre lightened hair.

Q: when i touch up my roots how can i be sure they'll match the already bleached hair?

Did you tone your hair? Or did you just bleach it? To try and get your roots to match, we recommend processing your roots the same way you processed the rest of your hair. If you hair is bleach blonde, just keep an eye on your roots until you feel the color has lifted close enough to the rest of your hair.

Q: i have verry long hair like to my butt. do you think one would work or should i get two?

Manic Panic suggests 3 containers of dye for hair that long, so I imagine it will require 3 boxes of bleach. You may want to work in sections to limit the risk of damaging so much hair. This stuff is strong and it works fast, meaning you won't have a lot of time to work it through your mane
