Definitely a worthwhile purchase
Very good quality reel, the bearings are smooth and helps to crank the kite in fast, the hook clasp makes attaching it to the kite quick and easy, this one came with 1000ft of line and is more than enough to put a larger kite high up.

Easy to use right out of the package. Pros: Nice, comfortable grip Easy to wind Durable string The Hook on the end of the string will not come undone if you close it correctly Easy for children to hold onto, but I do not recommend allowing children to hold it when not locked Cons: The Hook on the end of the string is very difficult to open It easily gets tangled when not in use Get unwind very fast - I recommended wearing gloves because if you don’t get a rope burn, the plastic will burn you from turning. I recommend it for adult adults.

Good, but small for adult hands.
Works. Good, strong line. It’s a bit on the small side. If you’re an adult, get ready for some painful hands if you’re trying to wind this up on a windy day, as the handle digs into the sides of your hand. It’s really sized for kids or adults with really small hands. Also, be careful winding as the line can jump the side and cause a tangle. I don’t fly a kite often, so I’ll keep it, but I’ll be on the lookout for a larger reel of the same type.

So easy. Makes you look like a pro
We went to beach. And. Some people. We're flying. Very. Large kites. Using this type of reel. I was impressed so. I ordered 2. It is so easy. To handle a 4 ft kite. With my grandson kids. We never had that much fun. Love them!

Great sidekick for a kite
I pair this to my kite and it made the whole difference. It made me feel like a kid again while feeling like a fisherwoman. The line never got tangled while pairing this with my kite. But the bad thing is, once the kite is high up. It’s a really great workout to bring it back down. I highly recommend it.

HUGE FAIL!!
I was excited to get this but quickly found the line falls off the spool and tangles beyond remedy because there is no tension on the line to keep it taut when not in use.
