Close but not quite there
Had this for a couple of weeks before sending it back.Pros:a) Reasonably brightb) Cheapc) Tiny!d) They provide a dedicated USB cable with two male ends on the end that plugs in to your computer (presumably to enable it to grab more power and run at higher brightness), but it will run on just a normal single USB cable (albeit at only the lowest brightness setting, on my computer at least).Cons:a) It requires the use of onboard software that downloads to your computer- to use the projector, you have to run the programme, rather than just plug it in and 'share screen'. This may be a feature of all little projectors, but I wasn't expecting that, and it made it more difficult to just pass it to a colleague to project something.b) Not just being able to 'share screen' was made more annoying because the onboard software apparently had a glitch- It wouldn't work on my Win8 laptop so I ended up having to get the drivers from the Philips website. Then it worked, but that prevented me from letting colleagues use it.c) My laptop only has one USB on each side, and the double ended USB cable provided didn't have sufficient length to plug in to two USBs situated on different sides of the machine- so I couldn't give it the power it needed to run at medium or high light output.d) It had an intermittent red flicker, which was a little annoying but not debilitating. All in all, it was very useful for two meetings and a day-long small workshop I participated in, and at least two of my colleagues were sufficiently impressed that they said they'd go home and get one. But, the software glitch, the red flicker and the inability to power it at high brightness on my laptop were too significant for me to ignore- I sent it back and will be looking again before my next work trip for something very similar but maybe slightly more refined.

Great in theory, but maybe not for all mac users!!
Great but maybe not for all mac users.I tried this out on all of my different computers (all apple macs) and it only worked on one this was because it was a later version of softwareI emailed Phillips support team on this matter, this was their response:The Pico Pix Viewer 2 that we have for MAC is compatible for 10.7,10.8 and 10.9.PPX2055 is not supported on Mac OS 10.10 and there will be no further development.Just wanted to clear that out for any mac users out there thinking about buying this product! if you have a 10.7 10.8 or 10.9 then i definitely would recommend as it looks great!!! But unfortunately i am going to have to return, seeing as it is not compatible, which is such a shame because in theory this projector was just perfect!

Good device for home use.
This tiny little device is a good unit. I was shocked at just how small it was and dubious about how good it was going to be at first. I can imagine it being good for art installations, movies, games etc at home.I bought it for power point presentations to 8 or 10 people. It was OK at 50 lumens but only if you made the room really dark.Sadly mine developed a fault and had to go back, so I've now gone for the next model up as a replacement at 80 lumens hoping it will be better for my purpose.I'd buy again for home use, definately worth the money.I would recommend a camera stand though as its so light it wiggles about a bit!

Good, but not good enough for video
The main reason I bought this was for video playback, and unfortunately this is the one area where this projector doesn't hit the mark. Whilst it is capable of video playback, the quality is not good enough (not for me at least) - movements on the screen are not smooth, and have a jerky motion to them, as if the image is constantly buffering.Apart from that though, this device is amazing - it is so tiny, easy to set up (on a mac) and gives a good clear image. If you're looking for something for on the presentations or just for projecting documents or images, this is definately worth a look at.

Excellent and so cute!
I don't have a big screen TV in my living room and I use that room to teach antenatal and breastfeeding classes. Part of the classes involve showing DVDs. I had been using a large (18" screen) Sony Vaio laptop to show the DVDs which wasn't bad, and the sound quality on it is brilliant, but having seen one of my colleague's big screen TV and show easy it was for her to show her class similar DVDs, I wanted to improve my class's experience. My living room is being renovated at the moment, so I have plenty of bare walls, which was a perfect opportunity for me to try out this cute little projector. My only problem in setting it up was in getting it to work when a DVD was playing. It displayed anything on the computer itself beautifully, but as soon as a DVD started in the drive, either the DVD or the projector, stopped working. A visit from a techie got this sorted; it was the inbuilt WIN DVD player that was the problem; once he uninstalled that and installed VIN, it all worked like a dream.Last night was the first night I used the projector actually in class. I don't have a perfect setup yet because I couldn't find the screw adaptor that would allow me to use a tripod with it, but I still managed to perch it on a tripod anyway, and I was thrilled with the result. The picture was bright and clear admittedly in the dark, it wouldn't have worked so well in daylight. In fact, it wouldn't really work at all in daylight as the projector isn't nearly bright enough to counteract natural light. But in the dark room it was great, and I am very pleased indeed with it. On the topic of the screw adaptor, a phone call to Philips resulted in them promising to send me the adaptor free of charge. I haven't yet received it, but the call was only two days ago so I presume I'll get it very soon!

Its supposed to work with apple IOS but id doesn't ...
Its supposed to work with apple IOS but id doesn't. Its a shame as its small and would have done the job, it seemed bright enough as well for such a small unit. I would advise anyone looking to use this with a macbook to look for another product. After phillips contacted a few times to no avail, ended up sending it back and buying an axa p4x which does work with the latest MacBooks, although was more expensive but a higher spec.
