GrizzlyGuard Spray Foam Gun Cleaner: Works as it should (but check pricing)
I recently had a project that needed a good bit of spray foam to seal and insulate different attic spaces, I took the opportunity to get several different brands of spray foam gun cleaners to try and compare to see if there were any major differences between them or from the typical Great Stuff name brand available at the local big box store - here is the review:BASIC INFO (IF NEEDED): For those who don't already know, the cans of spray foam gun cleaner are used to clean UNCURED polyurethane expanding foam from the internal areas of the foam dispensing guns or to clean up over-spray or other spots where the uncured PU foam should be removed before it sets-up. It is basically acetone in a pressurized can. You can screw the can onto the foam gun and spray it thru to clean the gun after use or use the tip with the can to spray it like a spray paint can. The cleaner will NOT remove or soften the spray foam once it has cured or hardened - so DO clean the dispensing gun PROMPTLY after removing the PU foam can, before any of that cures inside the gun and leaves it totally clogged. ALSO IMPORTANT: this stuff is very flammable so DO NOT spray anywhere near any open flame, pilot lights, or co-workers who have sparked up a cigarette - really best to only use outside if at all possible.DETAILS OF THIS PRODUCT: The GrizzlyGuard Spray Foam Gun Cleaner works as expected: 1) It attaches via the threaded top as it should to the different brands of spray foam guns (no leaks for me); 2) It melts away the uncured foam just like the acetone in the "name brand" cans; 3) It comes with a spray tip included, so you can spray it directly from the can when needed without attaching to the spray gun; 4) Can is labeled as 16.9oz compared to the name brand labeled as a 12oz can, but the actual gross weight of the full can is 463g which is basically identical to other full cans of similar products which are all labeled with different weights. 5) It was priced a few dollars MORE than the local big box store cans of foam gun cleaner at the time of this review.

Foam cleaner that cleans up foam
This does the job. Its priced fairly. I do like that it can be sprayed through the gun or used as a standard spray can. Just a reminder to use this stuff outdoors and with a respirator. It's strong!

Fast and Clean
Does exactly what you expect it to do and does it fast and produces a thoroughly clean applicator in seconds. Well worth the money as it appear to me this can will do a LOT of cleanings. I don't know how many yet and when i get a handle on that question, I will be back.Great Product - Highly Recommended

Big size can for a decent price
I picked this up for an insulation job spraying all the penetrations into an attic space to prep it for batt insulation. I was getting it all knocked out in one day so I didn't feel I needed multiple cans of cleaner. I like that this can is on the larger size and goes for around $11. It cleaned up my spray gun easily with a good bit left over. It's a nice choice for single day jobs when you're by yourself.

Mandatory for spray foam cleaning
If you are using spray foam for almost any purpose, I highly recommend having something like this on hand. Foam vigorously adheres to almost any surface and this is one of the few ways to remove it. These cleaners make quick work of dissolving and removing unwanted spray foam from any surface and make clean up of a spray gun much easier. Just be very careful when doing it!This can comes with options for connecting it to standard spray guns to clean the internals, and also includes a tip for spraying external services. Honestly, I would probably not want to spray this on anything that would show a finished surface! The chemicals are harsh enough that they would damage most of these. Fortunately, I don't ever spray foam where it is visible so that's not a problem for me.I do not see any information which identifies the active chemicals within but assume that there is probably acetone, acetic acid, and some propellant such as propanol. Basically compounds that can irritate your skin, lungs, and eyes. I strongly recommend only using this outdoors or in very well ventilated spaces. There is certainly a fire and/or explosion hazard to be aware of and to plan for. If you decide to use this to clean foam off of your skin, which you really shouldn't - ALWAYS use gloves and long sleeves(!), make certain that you wash the area with soap and water immediately afterward and to monitor your skin for any reactions.Bottom line: If you are spraying foam, you need some of this!

Works as advertised
I don't use a lot of this as I find it much better to leave the gun hooked up to a charged can of foam so no internal hardening occurs. But every once in a while I need to flush a spray gun, and this just what I need.So I try to always have a can on hand. For cleaning the outside and tip of the spray gun it's no better or worse than an acetone soaked rag, so I might grab this, or I might grab the can of acetone, whichever is convenient at the time.
