I have an older model Mercedes and I’m not sure if newer models connect to CarPlay automatically but this product allows for my iPhone to connect the moment I turn on my stereo. works as expected for the price, and connection has mostly been stable. some apps doesn't work well with it, like a text-to-speech app i have to read ebooks to me, but its fine otherwise for music and navigation. if you're using a wired appleplay, it is genuinely worth the switch over to wireless for the price of slight latency. minus one star because it eats up my battery like crazy, i could have my phone charging and still be losing power lmaoo
