Love it!
I’ve been using this wireless Android Auto adapter in my 2022 Toyota Tacoma for a few weeks now, and it has honestly been one of my favorite car accessories. My truck only supports wired Android Auto from the factory, and constantly plugging in my phone was getting old fast. This adapter fixes that completely. Once it was set up, it automatically connects every single time I get in the truck. I start the engine, and within seconds Android Auto pops up on the screen without me touching my phone. No cables, no fiddling, no reconnecting. It has been extremely consistent so far. Setup was simple. I plugged it into the USB port, paired my phone once, and that was it. After the initial setup, it has just worked. Audio, navigation, and controls all behave the same as when I used a wired connection. I have not noticed any meaningful lag when using maps or switching apps. What I appreciate most is how seamless it feels. It turns wired only Android Auto into something that feels factory wireless. For daily driving, errands, and commuting, it makes the whole experience smoother. The only thing to keep in mind is that it relies on your phone’s wireless connection, so if your phone struggles with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi stability, that could matter. In my case, it has been rock solid. Overall, if you drive a Tacoma with wired only Android Auto and want true hands off convenience, this adapter is absolutely worth it. It does exactly what it claims to do, and it does it reliably.

So far, so good
Purchased this device after my Motorola MA1 died after just one year of use. Decided to give this device a try since it's a European company. So far, so good. Setup was really easy, and the performance of the device is perfect. The only drawback compared to the MA1 is that the AAWireless seems a second or two slower to pair when I get into the car. But the AAWireless Two makes it super easy to pair a second phone (so easy my wife paired hers while I was driving), which was something we never got working with the MA1. That being said, I also gave the MA1 a 5 star review initially, but just downgraded it to 2 stars since it only lasted one year. So if the AAWrieless Two has a similarly short lifespan, I will be sure to update this review as well.

Size Doesn't Matter, It’s How You Use the Dongle
Let’s be honest, nobody likes fumbling around in the dark trying to find the right slot for their stiff, unresponsive cable. I was tired of the constant "plug and pray" routine every time I got into the cockpit. Enter the AAWireless Two. At just over two inches, this little European import is proof that big things come in small packages. The setup was so fast, I barely had time to get comfortable before we were fully connected. I just slipped it into the USB port, and once it was in, it stayed in. No slipping out mid-trip, no "losing the connection" right when things were getting exciting on Google Maps. The Multifunctional Button is a real sensitive spot—one touch and it knows exactly what I want. Whether I’m toggling between devices or just looking for a quick restart, it responds to my every command. And the best part? No wires. It’s completely "hands-free," leaving my hands at 10 and 2 where they belong (mostly). I was worried about a little "external interference" ruining the mood, but this thing is a pro. It’s smooth, lag-free, and handles every curve of the road without stuttering. If you're still tethered to your dashboard like it’s 2010, do yourself a favor: go wireless. Once you experience a connection this seamless, you’ll never want to go back to manual insertion again. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it always finishes the job. Best 18 grams I’ve ever spent money on.

Buttery smooth in operation but takes about 30 seconds to power up
It works well and the packaging is small and hardly wasteful. Once connected the audio plays smoothly and the navigation is smooth and is better than the carlinkit with less delay. Setup is pretty easy to do. You just connect it to Bluetooth and you can use you android auto or carplay. The one thing I don't like is that it tries to connect 3 to 4 times and takes about 30 seconds to connect the phone to Android auto from being plugged into the USB port. Compared to the Carlinkit wireless android auto receiver it much slower than the carlinkit one which connects in about 15 seconds when plugged into the USB port. Also fair warning to people is some cars can still supply power to the USB port on the car when it is off and it will connect your phone back to the car through android auto if you are in range of your car.

Amazing product coming from HeadUnit Reloaded
First, this is an amazing product. It's completely changed my experience with android auto and I do not regret the purchase and so far it's been working flawlessly. But I'll be honest, I was pretty skeptical about this unit at first. Why, you may ask? Previously, I had a car with an android tablet in it with HeadUnit Reloaded installed on it, which was an android application that was a predecessor to both AAW2 and AAW. It had built-in wireless android auto in the software itself, but... it was not the most user friendly to use. Finding support was tad difficult, and it didn't help that the devs were busy cooking up AAWireless, so reaching out was tough as well. The app worked, but was slow, unreliable, unresponsive, and crashed pretty frequently. And since the app was pretty much abandoned so they can focus on developing AAWireless (at least to my knowledge), the app got worse as it couldn't keep up with newer phones/OS's. Hence my slight hesitation with this product. Now fast forward 5 years in a new car that came with cabled AA. I did miss having wireless android auto, as it was convenient when it worked. So I was skeptical, but I took the plunge with AAW2. And I'm pretty happy to report my experience with AAWireless Two has been night and day when compared to the old HUR days. It's much faster, fluid, super user-friendly, and stable. Comparing to a cabled connection, wireless AA is much more responsive and overall, a better experience, minus the slight phone battery drain. Luckily my car has multiple outlets for this so I can charge when needed. The customizability of the UI is a plus as well (was possible in HUR but had to reset headunit each time. Much easier with AAW2 companion app). Connection time seems to vary I would say, it's usually ready to go by the time my headunit finishes its wake-up sequence (~20-25 secs for me). If you are hesitant, just do it.

Don't buy the cheap adapters, get this one !
So far I've had this for about a week. I have it hooked up to my 2017 VW Golf tsi wolf and it's been working pretty much flawlessly. Connects nearly instantly, runs smoothly (one instance of crashing from lag, likely from the cars side. it happened all the time when i used a cable), and fits nice and discreetly in the cubby. The app allows you to select a car model to optimize it as well. When the cubby is closed and the adapter is out of sight, you'd be fooled into thinking it came Factory with wireless android auto. I'm glad I chose this over the cheap adapters. The app also allows for even more setting changes compared to the basics. If you need a wireless adapter, get this one. Will update if anything goes wrong. (From my experience so far, it shouldn't)

This is the only one that actually functions and has an app for settings to make it work
I have tried 3 different Android Auto Wireless adapters - Motorola, Ottocast, HeyinCar - and none of them were satisfactory. Each had its own issue. The HeyinCar would continuously attempt to connect to my phone even though I was not driving or even in the car. The Ottocast could not complete the WiFi connection to the phone. Now enter AAWireless Two! It seamlessly connected and started Android Auto. It has an app that fixes problems, such as when the USB slot of your car remains powered after you turn the car off. You can also adjust the resolution on the car screen. You can program the button to four different functions. On and on. I did not like the cord connection so I found a short solid male USB-A to male USB-C adapter - works perfectly! THERE IS NO OTHER AA WIRELESS ADAPTER THAT EVEN COMES CLOSE!

Good, but flawed concept
Good, but flawed concept. First, this device works very well and I'm very satisfied with the device in and of itself. But here are two reasons you might not want to buy it: 1) Google Maps drains my battery. So, if I don't take the phone out of my pocket and plug it in to the car's USB, then I might find my phone battery drained when I arrive (or worse, while driving). This really limits how useful the device is for me - I wanted to be able to just leave the phone in my pocket at all times in the car. 2) My Electric Kona automatically turns itself on every few hours for maintanence purposes. (It checks to make sure the little 12V battery isn't drained and charges it from the traction battery when it gets low.) Every time it turns on the AAWireless Adapter connects with my phone (my garage is under my kitchen), and that starts a cycle of crazy behaviors. So I had better not forget to unplug the AAWireless when I park the car at home or the craziness will happen again. This makes it hard for me to use.

No More Cables—Works Perfectly in My 2016 Accord
I’ve been using the AAWireless 2 adapter in my 2016 Honda Accord for a little while now, and it’s been a really solid upgrade. Setup was straightforward and didn’t take more than a few minutes. Once it was connected, Android Auto started launching wirelessly every time I got in the car without me having to mess with cables. The connection has been very reliable so far. It boots up quickly and usually connects before I’ve even finished backing out of my driveway. I haven’t experienced any major lag or dropouts, and everything from navigation to music and calls runs smoothly. Audio quality is just as good as when I was using a wired connection.
