Is it worth the cost?
So, the real question is "Is it worth the high price" ($650)? I would have to say, yes. Yes, it is. The last few weeks I've been on sort of a buying frenzy of various tablet e-readers not unlike the kind that this review is about. In doing so, I've found that there are some very specific features that I'm looking for. This tablet e-reader does everything I hoped and needed. The charm is within the unit itself. While other e-reader tablets find their prowess in being able to mimic a cell phone, in the sense that it will do (almost) everything a smart phone can do. That's not the case in this unit. In fact, I very much appreciate how simplistic it really is. It does everything is claims to be capable of, but not much else which I find to be easy to use. For people like me, and those who are distracted easily by the bells and whistles of other e-reader tablets, this unit proves to be a powerful in it's claims. I still have a few more tablets to try out, but unfortunately I am so impressed by this unit, the bench mark has been set. The real question, is it worth the cost? I think that this unit does what it claims to do, and does it well, but $650 is rather high. Sure, without a doubt this e-reader tablet is far superior to other e-reader tablets that are out there, but that is somewhat subjective. Meaning, if this does fit your needs, then yes it's worth the cost, but if you need more out of your e-reader tablet, than this may not be the right one for you. If you can afford this unit, then I say go for it. The downside to this unit (besides the cost) is that in order to be fully functional, you have to be prepared to pay for a service that allows you to save items and work seamlessly between your unit and computer and all the splendors that it touts. I've been spoiled by this unit, which makes all the others feel (and look) far less superior. So, the answer to whether or not this unit is worth the cost, well, that's up to you to decide. I say, for the most part, a resounding YES! Hope this review (albeit lengthy) was helpful for you.

Game-Changer for Note-Taking and Focus
The reMarkable Pro has completely transformed how I take notes and stay organized. The writing experience feels incredibly natural—just like pen on paper—and it’s so satisfying to use. What I love most is how distraction-free it is. No notifications, no apps pulling me away, just pure focus.Syncing with the cloud works seamlessly, and the ability to convert handwriting to text is surprisingly accurate. It’s sleek, lightweight, and the battery lasts for days. Perfect for meetings, journaling, or planning without the clutter of traditional notebooks. Absolutely worth the investment. Highly recommend!

A masterpiece, say goodbye to paper notebooks
First of all, this is NOT a tablet that you might be used to. It has no browser, no apps. It is a dedicated device to facilitate a unique style of writing into paper, but wait, it is not paper, it is e-paper, but it feels like paper. It is a color device and this technology has some limitations when compared to a black and white eNotebook: It has to refresh more often and it is a bit darker when there is no backlight. But it has colors, and this is a capability that is not present in a black and white device, by definition. The constant refresh will stay there forever, and one gets use to it, but Remarkable responded to the users and released a new beta firmware that enhances the backlite, enough for me to decide to keep this device. I was concerned with the lack of brightness, but this new firmware really solved it, to the point I do not use it on the maximum setting anymore. All in all, my first eNotebook is a Remarkable Paper Pro, and I am very happy with my choice. I considered the Remarkable 2, as well as other brands such as SuperNote and Boox. The color, look and feel, and the entire writing experience steered me towards the Remarkable Paper Pro.

Did not last 2 months, Replacement is in limbo Buyer Beware
I purchased this for work in November. When it arrived it was awesome. It took a little getting used to. Around mid to late December, I had it pretty mastered. I noticed 1 single page I had written on disappeared. Just one, but it had important notes on it. I thought I may have accidentally deleted it. Could have been my fault completely. I talked to a coworker of mine who said he had been looking into these and I strongly recommended the unit.Fast forward a week and my coworker received his unit. We were comparing things and his screen was way brighter and the colors were way more accurate than mine. I thought I probably had not adjusted the settings, it was not a big deal to me. Then I started getting ghosting on mine. Ghosting would be the image staying on the screen even after I changed to another screen. This issue got so bad I would have to restart my unit to clear the page.I reached out to Remarkable through chat they were super nice about the issue and asked me to record a short video of the unit ghosting. I uploaded the video and they immediately agreed the unit was malfunctioning. Here comes the challenge. They told me DHL has to pick my unit up and ship it back to the factory. Once they receive my unit they will immediately ship me out a replacement. Well, that's not exactly great but I had to concede. It was a Friday 1-31-25, so I had to schedule a pick-up for Monday 2-3-25. When I printed the DHL shipping label it ships to Hong Kong. Yeh, not anywhere local to the states. It made it to the factory on Thursday 2-6-25. I followed the shipping status. Friday I reached out via chat to see what the status of the return. They said they received the unit now they had to verify the unit was malfunctioning. Reminder we did this through the video I submitted during the original chat. They said they received the unit on Thursday it usually takes 1-2 days and a replacement would be sent. I reached out again on 2-10-25today Monday because there was no movement and the tracking on the remarkable website will not update any progress. I have been told now it will be examined and this takes 3-5 days to determine if the unit is defective or damaged. This started January 31st it is currently Feb. 10th and they have not evaluated the product to see if they are going to ship a replacement. I just ended a chat and I have no more information than when I received the notice it was delivered over a week ago. When I googled the ghosting problem it seems to be pretty common. As of right now, I would not recommend this product. I had my unit for 2 months and this is what happened to me. My coworker leaves his screen on all day every day at our office and has not experienced the problem I had. I didn't leave my screen on, I had a protective case on it and rarely used the backlight.
