This cocoa butter is deodorized and decolorized After being extracted from the cocoa bean cocoa butter goes under deodorizing process where hot steam is injected into butter to "drive off" volatile compounds that are main contributors to the odor. Butter than is treated with diatomaceous earth (clays) to remove color. These processes are mild and natural. Obtained butter is more suitable for people with sensitive skin as some natural compounds of the butter can cause skin irritation and/or allergies. The color is white to off white; chocolate aroma is faint (almost non existing). White butter still possesses all of the goodness of the cocoa butter without interfering with your products' fragrance and color. Butter is solid at the room temperature and must be melted to use as a cosmetic ingredient; it adds some stiffness (structure) to the finished product.
