Can't say I usually get lighters often but the vintage pattern on this one certainly caught my eye with a good overall colour to it. Family member had some gas for it so I had it refilled and usable pretty quickly though I did take the time to adjust it on the bottom and wait as intended. From there it was just a case of it working as intended with a jet which is much more useful (and honestly cooler) than ordinary flames even if I assume it uses more, was able to light some candles and a few incense sticks as tests completely fine including with a fan blowing in its direction. Seems decently recommendable.

After not even a week of normal usage a pin holding a flap started coming out causing a bit of a problem closing it back. I give it another week or two and a lighter will be good for nothing. It looks really nice but if you want to use it on a daily basis look for something else. I would send it back but I've thrown the box out.

Feels really like I was actually confused if it is metal or plastic as the finish looks more like moulded plastic form. The lighter is very tiny as you can see on the pictures. Overall quality I will say average. Performance is ok no issues. What is not really handy the adjustable metal piece which could be designed better. Price at the time of review £9.99. Thank you.

This windproof lighter arrived in a rather nice cardboard box swaddled in an orange cloth and would be easy to wrap as a gift. It has a metal casing (probably zinc alloy) with a brass finish and a stylised leaf design on one side which is cast into the moulding rather than etched. It has a nice weight to it and feels pretty robust, like it would survive quite a few drops from pocket height onto a kitchen floor.You fire the lighter by pushing down with your thumb on the lever of the lid, and then striking the flint wheel to light the jet flame. I think a flint lighting mechanism is a good idea as usually these windproof lighters have an electric spark to light the flame, and inevitably that is the first thing to stop working. At least you can replace the flint on this lighter by pulling up on the striking wheel and unscrewing the spring like you would with a clipper. This should prolong the usability of the lighter and save on landfill which is a big plus.Please make sure that you have set the flame to the correct power level before attempting to light a cigarette as this may result in missing eyebrows. This one came adjusted to full power although I made sure I lit it at arms length on the first strike. It is easy enough to set the flame by rotating the screw around the nozzle on the base. There is a tool for doing this tucked beneath the the orange cloth in the box.This is a decent lighter that lights on the first strike pretty much every time so far, once the height of the flame has been adjusted. Hopefully it should last longer than one with an electronic ignition and at £4.99 it seems like pretty good value.

Idk if I’ve just been sent a broken one but I can never get it to light and when I do it’s definitely not a jetty the hole lighter goes up in flame so I have to shake my hand and try and put out the fire that way am not happy at all with this product if anything is just dangerous as have nearly burnt myself every time it’s actually sparked a flame as I said the hole thing catches

A very nice looking lighter, flip top, and lights with a flame thrower flame.BUT by the time you have lifted the lid and lit the lighter most of the gas has escaped ?As soon as the lid is up gas is released from the lighter so be carful not to hang about pressing the flint as you will end up having a mini flash bang with the gas.It does look good and comes in a nice presentation box.The flame is adjustable to not a lot of difference is seen either a flame thrower or just a blip of a flame.
