An excellent budget option for an imitation holo sight.
I have been looking for a cheaper holo knockoff for airsoft for a while now, since I do not want to spend $600 on a sight for an airsoft gun that cost me 1/3 of that. This looked simple enough, and did not seem to have bad ratings, so I decided to give this a try. I am reasonably pleased with the performance of it so far, and may even try it out for real steel application.PROSIt looks like an actual holo sight, save for the logos. I've always loved the look of holo sights, so this gives a nice, realistic feel and upgrade to any airsoft rifle. It's as easy as the real steel holo to zero in. After so many hours on the field, it is still sitting perfectly zeroed, no having to go in and adjust. The NV button actually switched the reticle from red to green, which is really cool, and not a feature you get with a real steel holo sight. It's easy enough to install and remove with the screw on the side of the unit.CONSIt's obviously not a true holo sight, so the reticle is a bit blurry, unlike on an authentic holo sight, where the reticle is laser generated, and not just a light from a diode. There is no quick-detach mechanism on this, so the Amazon product description is a bit inaccurate. The aluminum that the hood is made from feels pretty cheap compared to then real steel.VERDICTOverall, for LARP or airsoft, this is a great holo. It functions well enough, the reticle is clear enough on the red setting, it's not overly blurry on the green setting, and it might even stand up to some real steel action as well. It's a great option for anyone not looking to drop $600 or more on a real holo sight.

Great sight!
This is a fantastic alternative to a sight costing hundreds of dollars. There is a selectable red or green reticle and plenty of brightness for use in daylight or several clicks and dim for indoor use. So far it has held zero and the battery has lasted a long time. If you want a good sight but don’t need the name brand on it, consider this. It’s a good option.

Close to Garbage
This thing should cost 4.99. I'd be scared to have this on an airsoft rifle. It's mostly made of cheap thin plastic and the metal in the base is warped/defective. One drop on the battery compartment and that's shattered. Don't get it wet either. The gaps to the internals are large enough that breathing on this thing could cause the inside to fog up. Honestly don't waste your money. I might try and salvage it with gaskets and mods but don't rely on it for anything important. Use iron sights if you don't have the funds for a dependable optic.

It works as advertised
Including tax I paid 41.19 for this item and I’m very satisfied with my purchase. In fact, I’m happy. It’s solidly built, every feature is as advertised and it works. Unless you are a rate snob I think you will be as well. Is it as good as an Eotech? No! Use your head for something other than keeping your ears separated. Do you have a Pentagon sized budget? Is your life dependent on this product? Do you have excess cash? If your answer to these questions is no, then this optic is good enough for you and the average shooter. Unless you preparing for the next zombie apocalypse.

AMAZING optic especially for $40!
AMAZING optic especially for $40. Took it to the range yesterday and after getting it sighted in on my AR-9 it held steady with about 50 rounds.

what you expect
is exactly what you expect for a $30 optic. only thing is the screws to zero the dot don't have that click that you like to hear but are quite secure.

Extremely poor quality
Not a true holographic sight. Poor quality in every way. I would not use this on anything real.
