Kept my plants alive!
Purchased this system because I was going on a vacation and I needed to keep my plants alive when I was gone. It worked great! My plants were happy and their soil was moist when I got back.Pros:- The control knob is easy to use and understand. Keep in mind that you'll need to press "OK" when changing anything to make sure it saves.- The kit came with lots of tubing; I didn't need it all to water 9 plants total (including one small tree).- The solar panel works very well to keep the battery charged- The water pressure is strong enough to consistently water 9 plants, assuming you use the drip stakes. I noticed that if I didn't use the drip stakes then only one or a few plants would get all the water and there was not enough pressure to reach the rest of the plants. Adding the drip stakes reduces the water output but then you can just increase the time of the watering / add more drip stakes. Worked well!Cons:- The glue between the solar panel and the solar panel mount failed so the panel fell off. Thankfully, it was still face up when I was gone. I will replace the glue and continue to use it.- The device can only be powered through the provided solar panel. There is no other input power method. However, the plug to the solar panel seems to be a standard barrel plug so using an external power supply may be possible.Overall, I'm happy with this product.

Thrilled with this system!
I am thrilled with this Solar Drip Irritation System, we had a two month vacation planned and needed a reliable watering solution for my plants. I researched several systems before i settled on this one. The install was pretty easy it had lots of tubing and fittings to easily reach my plants. I only had one day to test the system out before we left and it worked as directed. I was so happy when I got home two, months later to see my plants alive and so healthy, this system worked beautifully. I highly recommend especially if you’re traveling.

It worked for an 11-day trip! My plants were all alive!
Buy this! I have a few other self-watering devices but this is the one I now rely on. It just works. Here are some things to know before you start using it:1. There are lots of parts. Don't be overwhelmed. Make sure you set it up several days before your trip, if possible, to allow you to charge the device (no battery, just solar), and to check for leaks and to determine how long/often to water.2. Put a pan or bucket underneath the connectors if you are watering more than 2 plants, just to be on the safe side. Mine has a leak but I can fix it by cutting it more precisely, not at an angle. Not much leaked, and it still watered my plants while away.3. I'm not sure if it still charges when it is in the "off" position, because there are no indicators, so maybe turn it to "on," leave it in the light, and don't set up a watering schedule for a few days until it is charged.4. 1 minute is not a lot of water since it is just a little drip and tiny spray. Maybe charge it, then set it to run a few minutes after it is charged, so you can watch, check for leaks, and see how much water actually comes out.Make sure you have a pretty big bucket if watering multiple plants! This is so much of a life-saver that I decided to just leave it all set up even after I returned from vacation. I'm just going to let this device water my plants from now on, and I'll just fill the bucket every few days with water. So glad I got this!

Solid design
So far it’s done pretty well. A good value for the price point. It is a challenge to get a proper drip flow in the nozzles due to the variance in material. I also have concerns with the battery life during the winter months. I have the solar panel on a south facing window and it can’t get the battery up to full charge. Maybe in the summer it will. Durability will be my main concern.

Great purchase
This is a great drip irrigation system. It was very easy to set up and my grow lights power the solar panel so I don't even have to set it up in a window. I have 2 stakes a piece in each 5 gallon pot and it takes about 20 minutes to drip 2 gallons. I have 2 tents with 4 plants a piece so I purchased a second drip system and each plant has 2 stakes a piece but I purchased an extra set of tubbing and stakes so I can do 4 stakes a plant for faster watering. It was very easy to program a watering schedule but you can connect the dry sensor as well and let the system water when the sensor detects dryness. All in all I highly suggest this system if you're a lazy plant mom like I am! Lol

Eventually will fail!
The product worked fine for about 2-3 weeks, then for no reason I noticed that the unit was no longer fully charging anymore, gradually dropping down to a flashing 1 level of charge, ( almost dead)! The unit gets a full 6-8 hours of direct sun, so there is no reason for the failure to charge , other than it is poorly designed. It must be the reason why Amazon has a " High Return rate" warning for this product. Not worth the money!!!
