My Adoration For The CREED.My Adoration For Assassinations. My Adoration for Games. All Comes Together...
first of all, best service provided by amazon. the book arrived one day earlier in the best condition. i have ordered dozens of books from amazon and they never let me down. now, about this book. it has been on my wish list for quite some time and finally after giving it a lot of thought i bought it. i am a fan of the whole assassin's creed game series. i played assassin's creed - black flag and revelations on my laptop and syndicate on ps4. i loved syndicate more than the others because of its awesome graphics and the 1800's London theme ( i am a maniac for 1800's London architecture and culture). i had my own doubts about this book because, trust me i know, how movies made from stories of fiction novels turns out to be, i never found it to be appealing. however i never depend on my first impression. the book was well written, it was descriptive and made me curious and anxious at every turn. Oliver bowden is really a veteran and he did what all veterans do, do a thorough research before even thinking of writing. although, the thing that stopped me giving a 5 stars to this book was that, the description wasn't enough. sure the people who played or have an idea about assassin's creed games can imagine the scenarios well, but there was something the author could have done. he could have added detailed maps of Florence, Venice, etc all the towns and cities where the story takes place. it could have shown the locations of the buildings, alleys, roads and shops. people can imagine more vividly when they know about the locations of the buildings. the second is that he could have added something like illustrations or pictures of ezio climbing or jumping or doing stunts. he wouldn't even have to draw it himself, i am sure if he asked ubisoft, they would have been more than willing to make the pictures after all its to publicize their own games. hence, looking at all these facts i gave a 4 stars to this book. there were minor things here and there in the story, like the plot moving too fast, or the plot moving too slow, the usage of certain words too many times, but it was all negligible to me. the plot is not exactly the same as the game, but i like it better this way. every author improvises on their part and also would you even find it exciting if you already know every details from the game while you read this book? i would suggest you to buy this book if you have played any, i mean any of the game from this series. if you don't want to play, just watch few videos on YouTube of other people playing it, just the parts with Synchronize, climbing tall buildings, doing a Leap of Faith and usage of his weapons. hopefully, if i am capable enough, i would buy the whole series soon and sigh in ecstasy every time i look at it. this series is on my list, along with Lee Child's Jack Reacher series.

Value for money.
The story is based on the game but it seems different than that.

Really imp notice**do read it before purchasing it
I bought the book after nearly 100% positive review.......but again fell trap to the overhype......ok the book was good but I really expected it to be more spooky and bloody but what I got was something really impractical.....a single individual who never knew about assasin without any training (as in the beginning)still defeated everybody who crossed his way....well that seemed a bit precarious...and well a book with victory befalling him af every turn was again just too much of exaggeration with no defeat at all.......Seriously....just toooooo much....well the writing style was again the biggest disappointment.....too casual and childlike......yet the concept was good and we finally had something at the end.......gonna continue with the series but really the author could have written it in a more flamboyant manner.....emotions were portrayed in the most bland way....but yes all these cons do make up in the next book as we get yo see some defeat right from the beginning so dont loose heart...

Perfect book for AC fans
This is an awesome book. The author in fact added some side missions from brotherhood to it to make it more interesting (ex- cristina mission). However there is no Desmond here. That is not a problem. Even at the end the author adjusted so that it would do without desmond (minerva talking to desmond through ezio). There is even a glossary for italian terms used in the book

Mind Blowing!
I was genuinely surprised by how much I liked this book. I bought it mostly because I am somewhat obsessed with the game, and I wanted more Ezio, now please! I expected that at best it would be bearable to read because I don't tend to think too highly of novelizations of either movies or video games. But this was really good and fun. Most of the story in the book is in the game as well, so the plot wasn't particularly surprising. But there were a few additional details - like, say, Leonardo's homosexuality, which wasn't even alluded to in the game (or if it was, I missed it) - that were fun to read about. Overall it's solidly written, and I have to say that considering the amount of both climbing and fight scenes he had to cover, the author did a really good job with this, and apparently had fun with it too (the Machiavelli jokes are a bit silly, but I loved them!). I can imagine parts of the story are a bit harder to follow for people who haven't played the game, and I wish the book had covered the parts involving the present tense as well, but as it is I really enjoyed it. Especially because Ezio spends a ridiculous amount of time thinking about Leonardo!
