Uniquely Lovely
This is one of my favorite everyday perfumes. I love how it kind of changes throughout the day from a watery spring to greens and then a light floral violet and geranium. I can definitely see people either loving or hating this one but I'm on the love side. It's really unique and light.

Enigmatic rainbow must rains on our stone Mouse House
We’re the Scurry family, a lively bunch of mice living in a delightfully pungent hole beneath an old oak tree. Our home’s aroma is a robust blend of damp earth, moldy twigs, and the occasional whiff of our pet beetle, Buzzo, who’s got a scent all his own (think fermented leaves with a hint of existential dread). When we sniffed out D.S. & Durga’s Steamed Rainbow, we hoped it’d bring a bit of freshness to our funky abode. Here’s our take, with input from Ma, Pa, little Squeak, and Buzzo’s unique perspective.First Impressions (The Spray):Ma Mouse was the first to scamper up to the sample vial we “borrowed” from a picnic basket. She twitched her whiskers and declared the opening a “zesty surprise!” The red mandarin and orange notes burst forth like a fruit basket tumbling down a hill—bright, juicy, and a far cry from our usual earthy funk. Pa Mouse, always the skeptic, said it reminded him of the time we raided a citrus crate, but “fancier, like the fruit’s been steamed in a misty cloud.” Little Squeak, our dreamer, squealed that it smelled like “a rainbow you can nibble!” Buzzo, clicking his mandibles, seemed to approve, scuttling in circles as the yellow elemi resin added a warm, resinous tang that vibed with his leaf-munching soul. The Heart of the Hole:As Steamed Rainbow settled, the middle notes crept into our burrow like a gentle breeze. The green cedar and indigo grass felt like a forest floor after a spring rain—fresh, but not so clean it erased our home’s character. Ma loved the blue almond blossom, calling it “soft as a petal, but not too flowery for us practical folk.” Pa grumbled that it was “a bit too pretty” for his taste, preferring the muskier corners of our hole, but he admitted it made Buzzo’s odor less noticeable. Squeak kept chasing the scent, claiming it was “like running through a meadow where colors dance!” Buzzo, ever the stoic, nestled into the cedar note, as if it reminded him of his wild days before becoming our pet.The Drydown (and Our Smelly Reality):By the time the base notes emerged, Steamed Rainbow had woven itself into our hole’s aroma. The violet and vetiver were powdery and earthy, grounding the fragrance in a way that felt oddly at home. Ma said it was “like our hole got a spring cleaning without losing its soul.” Pa, warming up, noted the “vapors” gave it a misty quality, masking Buzzo’s funk without overpowering our natural musk. Squeak was obsessed, saying it made her feel like “a mouse in a fairy tale!” Buzzo, however, seemed miffed that the vetiver stole his thunder—he sulked in a corner, though we caught him sniffing his shell later.Longevity and Sillage:For a fragrance meant to evoke delicate rainbows, Steamed Rainbow lasted surprisingly well in our damp, smelly hole—about 4-5 hours before fading into a soft, musky whisper. The sillage was gentle, wafting just enough to freshen our burrow without alerting the neighborhood owl. Pa wished it packed more punch, but Ma and Squeak loved how it didn’t clash with our natural mousey scent. Buzzo, we suspect, appreciated that it didn’t linger too long, letting his beetle bouquet shine again by nightfall.Final Thoughts:Steamed Rainbow is a whimsical escape from our hole’s pungent charm. It’s fresh and colorful, like a prism of scents that brightens our earthy lair without making it feel like a stranger’s den. Ma says it’s “a treat for special scampering days.” Pa grudgingly admits it’s “not bad for a hoity-toity spritz.” Squeak wants to wear it forever, dreaming of rainbow-filled adventures. Buzzo? He’s back to his smelly self, but we think he secretly likes it. We’re docking one cheese nibble because it’s a tad too gentle for our robust tastes, and the price (oh, the cheese we’d trade for a bottle!) feels steep for a mouse budget. Still, it’s a delightful addition to our hole, and we’d recommend it to any critter looking to soften their stink with a touch of magic.– The Scurry Family (and Buzzo the Beetle)Purchased from a suspiciously unattended picnic basket, but we’d scamper to D.S. & Durga’s website for more.

Incredibly unique scent
As a big fan of DS&Durga fragrances, Steamed Rainbow did not disappoint! This super inventive and fresh fragrance lives up to the name incorporating all of the elements of ROYGBIV to make a produce a beautiful humid ebullient petrichor. I’ve never smelled anything like it and I doubt I ever will again. In either case, you can call me a fan!

Musty.
I was excited to try this new scent and though there is something catchy about it, it still carrys a strong odor of must. I wore it twice, tried to give it away, no one would accept it.
