Given my relatively low expectations, on the basis of squirrels being quite a bit larger than mice, this worked decently in reducing the overall number of the critters that for a hot minute threatened to turn the sealed space into a flop house. But, from the start, I assumed that while the device might prove unbearable to some others would not find it so uncomfortable, and so it proved to be. In short, this was not an end all to the problem; that involved closing the point of entry and egress just below the roof line.Sidenote: Customer service from the makers of this repeller is inexistent, like talking in a void. I had reached out hoping to ascertain whether the unit needed to be restarted after a power outage and, well, fuggetaboutit. For those with the same query, it looks like only the LED function is affected and needs to be started again; the other modes get back going when the power returns.

I just received my Repeller and was excited to try it out. I am disappointed to learn the sounds do not go through walls or ceilings. It was never mentioned in the description. We have red squirrels already in our ceilings. Now, I am not so sure if this will work but will give it a try. None of the many raving reviews mentioned this limited feature. Does anyone have advice?

Would be 5 stars if the power cord was longer. Had squirrels in the attic turn this on as close to the ceiling as i could get it and they were gone within 2 days. Completely surprised honestly. The range could be a little farther but as long as youre within 15 or so feet.
