Fun and challenging
I bought this game for me to play with my 19yr old son who likes strategy games. This game is great. The tiles are different for each game so it is not the same. The 1st time we played my son took great pride in that he beat his dad by 35 points. He was humbled in the second game where I returned with advantage.Buy the game and have fun

All the reviews are true
Marjan on steroids. Really quite fun. For the sem-serious gamers, it is fun. I play with serious gamers who found it a little simple for their taste. But I LOVED the artwork alone. Very nice game to play. Rounds can be as complicated or simple as you'd like. We'll play this over and over.

Currently our Favorite Game
The first time I played Dragon Castle I did not like it. I played with 4 people and tried to use the cards with extra scoring abilities during and after the game. It was too much and I did not know what I was doing. I really did not like this game. However, after watching a Watch it Played and then playing with 2 players and not using the cards at first, this game has morphed into my current favorite game and it has constantly hit the table. The pieces of Mah Jong pieces but the game is not really Mah Jong and maybe is slightly related to solo app Mah Jong, but not really. The pieces are high quality and the art is beautiful. The different combination of tiles, and set ups, and the power cards allow this game infinite replayability. It is just as much fun with 2 as it is 4. But again, I highly recommend watching a video first and playing without the power cards first. This game is challenging, relaxing, and frustrating all at the same time. High quality components, easy to follow instructions...what a game.

Easy to learn, good quality pieces
Have played this game several times and it was easy to teach to other players. If you've ever played Mahjongg matching tile games on your smart phone, you'll recognize some of the mechanics. Not sure whether this will have staying power, but it is a good filler game between more challenging games. Takes less than an hour to complete.

Really fun and versatile
This was even better than I expected. I got this as a present for my mother for Christmas, and it wasn't hard to learn or modify for different styles of play. The design of the game is stunning, the pieces are well made and dynamic, and the gameplay with the cards adds an element of Asian folklore that makes it feel special. You can also use the tiles for straight up Mahjong, which my mom has taken to doing at breakfast :)

A beautiful, fun game
This is a fun, easy to learn game with beautiful Mahjong style tiles. This is based on Mahjong solitaire and the tiles look like regular Mahjong tiles, but they are a bit different. We have played 20+ games so far and we haven't felt the need to add the cards, which increase the ways to score, yet. This game has a ton or replayability.

Excellent game
Very nice tile components and very good abstract game. The shrine components are also nice quality and detailed.

Fun to play; sturdy pieces
Purchased this to play with my wife during pandemic. Lots of fun, small learning curve, nice pieces. Never played with more than two people but I think two players is perfect for this particular game.
