Great value, but the claim in the decription about being able to breeze through checkouts isn’t quite accurate. The lookup numbers are not readable through the bags

I bought these recently and I am pretty much satisfied. However, another brand has them color coded for size, which would be a huge improvement, and I will buy those next time. It is frustrating to stand there in the store rooting around among your bags trying to find the size you want.

As suggested under alternate uses for the bags I used one to strain one quart of yogurt and the bottom seam busted as I was scooping the yogurt into it. Luckily it was over a bowl. If it had been a bag of produce I would have been much more unhappy. I’ve made sure to check all of the seems each time I use them. I still love them because I hate having a thousand plastic bags at the grocery store.

PROS: light; I can easily discern contents inside; good sizes selection; saves plastic!CONS: the cords are ridiculously long, so they are easily tangled & a bit wily; they do not close up tight, so small items (rice, small seeds, flour) will fall out if not kept upright

I love these reusable fruit/veggie bags. My first thought was - they aren’t see through at the check stand. But the checkers seem to have no trouble. I have washed them several times, but Am hanging them to dry. They’d probably go through the dryer fine, but Iwant them to last as long as possible. In the fridge things like lettuce don’t do very well as the bags don’t hold in moisture. But my fruit and some of the veggies go straight in the fridge from the store.

Just a heads up for users. One of the bags would not pull closed, and after carefully looking at the closure, I noticed that a thread from the bag material was hung-up on the black pull cord at the end of the bag opening. The result was that I could not pull the bag closed. I simply cut the thread away from the pull cord and the bag was free to slide on the pull cord. Otherwise, I am quite happy with bags and plan to use as alternative to zip lock bags which tend to split and spill contents. I like the idea of using for vegetable shopping and storage. I'm looking for travel bags that are not porous.

These bags work out perfectly for me. I was having guilt trips using so many plastic bags...They can easily go in the wash, they have a secure sliding cordon closure that I use only after I am done with my purchase. (the bags are not see through so the cashier still needs to get inside to get the codes). Other shoppers have asked me where I got them. For the price I paid, I am happily surprised with the quality of these mesh bags. I recommend.

These are a great alternative to plastic single use produce bags. Perfect for transporting produce but not ideal for storing all produce. My mushrooms lasted longer than they would have in plastic but my broccoli wilted a bit. I intend to wrap my broccoli in a damp cloth before storing in the bag next time.
