Surprising image quality - excellent battery life
The media could not be loaded. This turned out to be my best trail camera of the 9+ cameras we operate on our property. It's small, simple to program and easy to install - whether you strap it to a tree/pole or mount it using the screw-down swivel mount on a building/structure. I chose the latter. This camera is powered by 8x "AA" batteries (included) At first, I was wondering how long this arrangement would last, right? Well - it's been over a month since installing this device and the batteries still show 80% capacity! My particular location experiences a lot of nighttime traffic from wildlife (see video) This device records 5~10 events a night and isn't zapping the batteries like I expected!Using this camera is simple. Just download the "TrailCam Go" APP, set up your recording preferences & image quality and install in your desired location. The SD card for recording is included & already installed, ready for use. The included card is 2GB in size. This camera produces videos in the .avi format and saves them on the card that way. Upon download, the APP saves them to your device as .mp4 files.Connectivity is kinda weird with this camera - but it works very well at distances well over 150' in my usage...Firstly, you'll select the camera (in case of more than one) from the app. The app 'wakes up' the camera's Bluetooth radio which in turn, wakes the Wifi signal that continues the communication with your phone. It takes a moment but there is a progress indicator - so you'll know the device is actually responding. Apparently this device works in a very low power mode, all transmissions of video, photos and downloading of these files is done in a burst and then the radio shuts down to conserve power...all I can say is that it works very reliably. This device does not connect to a WiFi router in any way - only to the device running the APP.The motion detection & recording delay functions are completely adjustable. Infrared night recording is very clear and easy to view (see video)All user controls/settings can be accomplished on either the APP or on the tiny screen and control panel on the inside of this device (see photo) Be assured, it's extremely easy to set up.Conclusion: This is a very capable camera. It is an excellent value at it's price point. If you are surveilling a large tract of land, these cameras are a very affordable choice - they are about 70% less expensive than the others I own, anyway!I can give a strong recommendation for this camera. I kinda wish I had known about this device earlier in the year - I could have saved a few hundred dollars!Excellent quality, five stars easily earned.

Works well for the price
I have 23 trail cameras--some cheapies and a few more expensive--and I would say this is not a bad camera for the price. It does a very serviceable job of picking up wildlife both day and night and has reasonably good image quality. (I would say that the night light-range is not as spectacular as the daytime shots but it will show anything within about 50' of the camera quite well.)We live in a rather remote area and have cameras set up in even more remote locations within about a 2-mile radius on our property and a national forest adjacent to us, so we can't really use the wifi feature. I have this camera connected to an external battery for longevity and it seems to be doing very well at about 2-1/2 months out in the woods. So far my only real complaint is that this doesn't seem to pick up as much activity as I KNOW is actually going on around it. I have it set to record after only 5 seconds from trigger (as low as it can be set) and the PIR sensitivity is at the highest setting, but it still does not pick up more than about 15 or 20 videos per month. That is way too low for the trail I have it aimed at--which I know from having another camera on the same trail not much further away that picks up around 75 videos per month. I am not really sure what the difference is as I make a point of trimming leaves, grass or anything else in the viewing areas that can inadvertently trigger the camera and I always aim them away from the sun, or reflective areas that can play havoc with the triggers. So ...Bottom line is that this is a great camera for the price range and would make a good option for a first camera or for someone who wants to aim it at their backyard or a trash can, etc. to see who is raiding the garbage or stealing the dog's toys. It might also make a good driveway camera, but the main thing is that it needs to be in wifi range to really utilize its full potential. As a trail camera, it functions well enough as a back up camera, or as one of a large grouping of cameras, but it isn't the best stand-alone camera I have had.One minor thing that I really wish the makers of trail cameras would take into consideration in their designs, is that most serious users of trail cameras HATE the mini SD cards. Those things are so tiny that they get lost in the grass and leaves when you drop them, and they are almost impossible NOT to drop--especially when it is freezing cold outside and you're wearing thick gloves. The larger cards are easier to insert and remove, plus when you drop them, they are easier to see. They also have more writing surface available so you can mark them specifically for one camera (important when you are running a LOT of cameras, as is my case). The thing is, even if someone prefers the mini SD cards, a larger slot will accept an adapter so you can still use the minis, whereas you don't have options if all you have is a mini slot. Just something to think about. I have started putting neon orange dots on all my minis just so I can find them!

Great quality photos and no need for WIFI
This was the first trail camera of this type that I purchased - the others either required a cord to download the images to my phone, or needed to connect to WIFI to do so. Not this one - after downloading the app, you can connect directly to the camera using its built-in WIFI. It takes a few seconds to connect, but an indicator shows in the app that it is connecting, then all of the photos are downloaded. While the batteries do last a surprising long time, I wish there was a way to use a battery pack or rechargeable batteries and a solar panel to keep this charged and working.

Nice trail camera
This camera gives you everything you need right out of the box and works great with micro sd card. I have a lot of trouble connecting to the camera through the app - even when standing next to it. When it does connect, it's difficult play the short videos. If you're looking for a basic camera and fine with using the sd card, then you should be happy. I don't recommend it for viewing images from your phone.
