Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Royale Limited Edition 75ml

Not very oudy, but rewind to 1985 to find a bar of men’s soap for an educated, powerful and high ranking man and you know what this is. Longevity and sillage are good. It’s for 35+, only a touch of sweetness, imagine melted butter on woods with a very tiny touch of florals. For somewhat powerful but understated people. Not a crowd pleaser and won’t appeal to most women but won’t be unpleasant to them either - this is a scent a man wears for himself. I was expecting a much more earthy patchouli type scent which has the smell of damp soil and yet this is nothing like that. It’s very well blended.

Essendo appassionato di profumi e fragranze, ma non volendo cadere nella trappola dei famosi profumi di "nicchia" dove spendere tanti (ma proprio tanto) soldi sarebbe inevitabile, ho scoperto questo profilo olfattivo vicino ad Initio "Oud for Greatness". L'impressione iniziale è molto simile con lo zafferano e la noce moscata. Questo è più secco con un patchouli molto mascherato in sottofondo mentre nell'originale sono l"oud e la dolcezza a sostenere il tutto. Infatti lo unisco ad un profumo economico francese che aggiunge dolcezza con il fico, e un po' di terrosita' affumicata. Consiglio a tutti coloro che hanno fantasia e buon gusto di personalizzare i profumi della propria collezione con il layering . Si ottengono combinazioni sorprendenti e uniche soprattutto

It smells okay but there's a big toilety chemical smell to it which is not great.

Wow! I just received this so not sure about longevity but my first impression is it's an absolute stunning fragrance! And the projection is strong as well. It's just an intoxicating fragrance. I absolute love it! The quality of the bottle and box is incredible as well. This is an amazing value for what your getting. Smells better than many expensive designer fragrances I have. Definitely leans more masculine in my opinion. But just a beautiful scent.
