While this item isn't required to use your Pelsee 10" mirror cam, it does make for a much cleaner, less bulky looking install. Couldn't be easier: one small screw to remove your factory mirror, and one screw to install this bracket. No issues putting it on the camera, so I'm not sure what some other reviewer's problem was.

I ordered this Pelsee Bracket for 10‘’ Mirror Dash Cam as a tidy way to mount my new Pelsee P10 Plus mirror dash camera.The articulated arm is primarily metal alloy and is very sturdy. The articulated joints are very, very firm and difficult to adjust. Range of adjustment is adequate, but limited. Not even close to the range of adjustment of the original General Motors rear view mirror. But as I said, it’s adequate for my need.The plastic bracket that clips onto the P10 mirror camera is not nearly as sturdy though. I fear the relatively thin plastic bracket may warp after a couple summers in the 110* plus heat of the Sonoran desert paradise I call home. Also, since this plastic bracket clips onto the rear of the mirror camera it obstructs the P10’s internal speakers making the already too quiet speakers muffled and the voice responses from the camera difficult to hear while driving.The screws provided with this mounting kit are about 1.5mm too long, preventing a good tight connection between the metal articulated arm and the plastic bracket. Fortunately I had some suitable screws on hand but many people don’t keep a stock of various metric hardware handy.All said, it’s a bit overpriced for what it is and considering the design flaws, but it does work and makes for a much, much cleaner OEM style appearance once installed.One final note: Pelsee suggests contacting their customer support team prior to purchasing to ensure this will work with your vehicle model. I reached out to them and they told me it would NOT work with my 2002 Chevrolet Blazer. I ordered it anyway, expecting I would have to replace the mounting stud that’s glued to the windshield. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover this bracket fits perfectly without any modifications necessary. So the word of Pelsee CS isn’t exactly 100% reliable…

When I first installed this unit, the rear camera stopped working after a day. I emailed support and someone responded the next day. I was sent another rear camera. I attached the new one but that too failed to work. I emailed support again and the same rep responded. I was sent a whole new unit. This time, I swapped out the main unit and this time the rear camera worked. I tried the old rear camera and the new one as well to make sure it is the main unit that has the issue.I waited for some time before writing this review to make sure I experience using the unit. The front and rear detection works well by simply using auto-calibration. I really like the stealthiness of the front camera. I do have two minor issues with it. The audio volume is too low in my opinion. The other issue I have is that I am unable to connect to it from my phone whilst I’m connected to my wireless carplay. Nonetheless, I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it despite the initial issue. The support I received more than made up for the failed unit.
