It’s PERFECT!
My oldest kitty, Donut, was recently diagnosed with urinary crystals and requires to be on prescription food that other kitty, Mabel, cannot be on. He is also not allowed to eat her food to try and keep everything under control. Feeding them at certain times was difficult to do as Mabel is a big foodie, and if Donut didn’t eat all of his food, she would eat it all. So after much research on the many different covered automatic feeders, I decided on purchasing two of this one. It is a bit expensive but absolutely worth the price, and the kitties took up to it immediately! The setup isn’t too hard as long as you follow along with the booklet they provide, then the PETLIBRO app does the rest. Very simple and easy to set up. What I like about it is that it only opens for the specific cat whose tag you register to it. Mabel did try to bite her way into Donuts bowl, but was unsuccessful thankfully. That proves how durable it is!!! I also like that you can set up meal times to automatically dispense at a certain time at a certain amount. If you free feed, this is still possible to do per pet if you just keep track of how much food has been eaten and just refill when it gets low. You can set dispensing schedules by day and time and if you prefer for the kitties to get fed a certain amount 3 days a week and differently the other 4 days, you can absolutely easily set it up that way. The ability to also put batteries into the feeders to allow it to work in case of a power outage is a lifesaver!! If you have a kitty that is also food crazy, you can adjust the cover closing times and speed to try and help ensure that the other kitty does not steal food. I’ve also placed the feeders in different rooms to avoid this. While there are a lot of pros, there are a few cons but it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker for the overall feeder. If you schedule meal times, if the kitty hasn’t eaten the full amount, it will obviously pile onto the food in the bowl already. If your kitty isn’t much of an eater, the food will pile up and cause the dispenser to get blocked. It’s easy to fix, as I usually just open the cover in the app and use my finger to pull the blocked food down. For my kitty who doesn’t eat a ton, I have turned off scheduled feeding to avoid this from happening and just refill when it gets low. This isn’t a deal breaker whatsoever as he is still getting the food he needs! When setting up, the feeder also does talk, which may be startling for some skittish kitties. Luckily, my kitties were not fazed by it; although, I did completely turn down the voice as soon as I could to avoid them getting scared if it did talk for any reason. Lastly, the last con is the often changing and cost of the desiccant bags; although, there are alternatives that you can find online and use in place of the PETLIBRO branded bags that work just as good. Overall, this is a great product given my situation! It does its job perfectly and helps keep my mind at ease that my kitties are getting the food they need. 100% recommend!

Great feeder — even better with a hopper expansion
I’ve been using the Petlibro RFID feeder and it’s been excellent for controlling portions and keeping food secure. The RFID recognition has been consistent, setup was straightforward, and it’s been reliable day to day. I wanted more food capacity, so I added a third-party hopper/food storage expansion that I found on Etsy. It increased capacity significantly and integrates cleanly with the feeder without affecting performance. Overall, the Petlibro feeder works exactly as advertised, and with an added hopper expansion it’s even more convenient—especially if you want fewer refills.

Atomatoc
I got these after we added a new kitten to the family who wouldn’t stop eating our adults cat food and causing an upset stomach. I love this, it’s easy to set up. The app is easy to use. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the fact that the “automatic” feeder isn’t a when the food is low it’s a set times on the app for dispensing food. This in itself isn’t horrible but my cats are not consistent eaters so some days this causes too much food resulting in a blockage and others I check the bowls and they are nearly empty. Overall, I would purchase again given this and other options on the market. The sensing collars work great and cleaning is easy. Being able to keep the food separated is keeping our cats healthy and fed. I think it’s a good value for the money, but If you’re able to get it on sale I’d say hold out. Haven’t had any issues with it tipping or being wobbly, it’s very sturdy.

Works Well for My Slow Eater
Used it for a week and it has been working well for my girl. My roommate recently fostered 2 male cats from the local rescue and those boys have been stealing and even scrambling for food from the old feeders I had. My girl lost 1 lb in a week no matter how many meals I added in addition to their scheduled meal plan. It quickly became unaffordable for me to feed 4 cats in the household on my own. This is the first microchip feeder I tried and I like it so far. It is easy to assemble and you are allowed to record your own meal call if you want. It took a whole day for my girl to figure out how this thing worked. It is quiet but kind of slow. I set the lid closing time to 1 sec but it was still a good opening for other cats to steal food if they are dedicated enough. Luckily, it did prevent other cats from getting into her food, and now she can return to her normal eating pattern. It came with one RFID collar, and you can change the collar if you don’t like the original one. The one thing I don’t like about the collar is the connecting ring. It might become loose and the chip could come off and nowhere to be found. The product does not have any camera or recording function if I am not mistaken but it does record when my girl comes and nibbles on her kibbles. And more than one collar/microchip can be added to one feeder, but it has to be from their brand. To be honest, it is expensive just like other microchip feeders. In general, I do like it and recommend it in a multi-cats/pets household setting where either a special diet is needed or one cat is particularly eating less than others due to their inaccessibility to the food. If there is only one cat in the house, this product is just a bit overpriced for you. I am still giving it 5/5 just because it solved my problem and definitely cheaper than a vet visit once my baby girl became way too underconditioned.

Works wonderfully. Consistent, up to 4 meal times a day. Easy to program. I wouldn’t bother setting up the voice, it’s very loud every time and cat responds to good noise. You can’t delete sound and taking batteries out doesn’t reset. For my cat, food storage lasts 3 weeks and cat can’t get in. Running off batteries also great if no powerpoint I’m using in Australia and works great. Power is a usb end so you just need to pickup a $5 usb power point, or just use your phone one.

The device works well for the most part and fulfills it's use as an auto feeder plus rfid tagger so only one of my cats can eat from it. However there seems to be a touch sensitivity and button placement issue, whereby once I unlock the touch buttons (they are by default locked) there are ghost inputs. The worst part is the lid open button is right next to the reset button, so when I tried to manually open the lid, the ghost input instead kept resetting the device causing me to redo the whole setup a few times. Also for a device that cost that much perhaps it would not be too much to ask that a camera come equipped so we can see which pet is using the feeder rather than rely on the rfid tracker which can be wildly inaccurate at times; I have seen a few instances where my cat was eating from it but the app says it has not used the feeder.
