Excellent expansion pack for a great game!
Overall, this is a great expansion for a great game. This product adds 48 new heroes from the Wind, Fire, Forrest, Mountain, Lightning and Yin expansion packs as well as the 53 new playing cards from the Battle expansion which adds an additional layer of complexity and strategy into WTK. (Which is what makes this expansion so great!)Though, there are a few things that could’ve been changed to clear up ambiguity regarding the content:1. For some reason, Wei General Xu Huang has been named the same as the Wu General Xiao Qiao. I’d presume this must’ve been a typo. (Though the art remains top notch as always regardless!)2. In the rule book, Cao Pi has been named Xu Huang. Again, this must’ve been another typo.3. Neutral Generals have their Kingdom (force) named to ‘QUN’, this can be really confusing for my non-Mandarin speaking friends since the Generals from the base WTK game have their kingdom (force) named as ‘NEUTRAL’4. If this product is supposed to be an expansion of the base WTK game, all Generals should have a coloured border (similar to that of the Generals from the base game; see image 5) for easier differentiation between Kingdoms (forces)5. Some minor adjustments could be done for some generals. Eg: Zuo Ci’s epithet is ‘The Mystical Immorta’ instead to ‘The Mystical Immortal’. Additionally, Pang De’s epithet is ‘Swepting Knight’, the only issue with this is that ‘Swepting’ is not a standard English word. It would be recommended to have the developers look over everything for any typos.Things I like about this product:1. The art for each of the Generals look gorgeous! It certainly makes the game look fancier and of high quality.2. The rule book that expands on the new types of abilities plus a description of all new generals included.3. The old generals have received new updated abilities. Eg: Zhou Tai has been given the ‘Inspiring’ ability which gives him more versatility as a loyalist character instead of being just some guy who is really hard to kill. Some suggestions I have:1. It would be nice to have a 6HP, 7HP and 8HP cards for Generals such as Dong Zhuo and Hua Xiong (from the base game) without having to use 2 health cards. If there is a 10 player game with both Dong Zhuo and Hua Xiong present, there would not be enough health cards for the rest of the generals present.2. An additional yet optional suggestion would be the inclusion of small props that are required for some characters. Eg: characters with conversion skills could have small double sided card, one side reading ‘Mode 1’ and the other ‘Mode 2’ to keep track of what Mode the conversion ability is on.

Haha Okay First off I must say that this is not a very easy game to learn. My husband and His friends have actually been playing the Chinese version of this game for years now. So its safe to say He knows this game Pretty Pretty well. So If you are just buying this game without having a lot of background and experience in it. It can be PRETTY overwhelming to say the least.BUT if you take the time to learn it. And you take the time to figure out each of the function cards (haha I don't know if that's what its called) then this game is SUPER fun. Since my husband has been playing the Chinese version for years now, because we now have much more English speakers at our Bible Study we decided to splurge and get an English pack. And so far they have played about 3 times and each time the new players say How fun this game is.This game is based on some historical people and things. But It certainly doesn't impact whether you can play the game or not if you don't know the historical people. This is certainly a strategy game. There really isn't a game that is very much like this one. What we love about this game is that it allows for A BIG group of people to all play together. Our fellowship is growing and when we have game nights its a bit hard to find a game where we can include everyone. But this game certainly is not the case. This I believe with the expansion pack can have up to like 15 people. I may be wrong math is not my thing. But its a pretty large group of people who are able to play this.My husband has already say multiple times that this is his all time favorite game. And he likes to play strategy board games. So that's saying quite a bit that this is his favorite one.Like I said, there is a learning curve. There are lots of rules and things to know and remember. But if you are willing to take the time to learn it. Its pretty easy once you get the hang of it. There is just a small learning curve to learn each character their function and what you can do.

Ok expansion but different from base game
The art on the back of cards are different from the base game and the expansion call some cards “spell” but in the base game they are called “stratagem”. So there are difference in translation. Both base game and expansion I have are from yokagames so idk why they have two different translation
