Paintless Dent Repair Puller Kit - Dent Puller Slide Hammer T-Bar Tool with 16pcs Dent Removal Pulling Tabs for Car Auto Body Hail Damage Remover

I bought a used "new to me" car that had quite a few dents and dings. I took it to the auto body shop to get a quote to get them all out and they quoted me over $1000!! I then turned to amazon to see if i could find any "do it yourself" tools to hopefully get a few of the smaller ones out on my own. This tool did just the trick! Got out well over half of them and now I'm only spend half the amount of money at the body shop. Worth the $40 and 2 hours to save that money. Recommendation when using the product: park in a shaded area (do not do this in sun, the glue will have trouble drying), let glue dry for longer than it says because you want it to be super dry to get the best results, and finally be (or find someone) really strong to pull the dent out because it definitely takes some strength.

Updated: 3/23/2021 Decided to give this one more shot before I threw it away. I think when I initially tried this, my car was too cold and the glue cooled too fast on contact. I had much better adhesion at a warmer temperature. Additionally, if the glue popped, I heated it back up with a heat gun and that seemed to give even better adhesion. I was able to pull a dent out significantly aside from where the metal creased. I am not giving this 5 stars at this time because the directions are not very helpful. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Bought this a few months ago and finally got around to trying it out. I tried both colors of glue to start pulling a dent (instructions don't even say what the difference between them is). I let the glue cool for the 10 minutes the instructions said and upon barely sliding the weight, every single tab pulled off immediately. The glue in this kit doesn't stick at all. It pulled away from the car AND the pull tabs. I'm not sure how anyone has produced any usable results with this thing.

The product arrived quickly. Instructions were easy to follow. I have two dents on the back hatch of a Toyota Highlander. I started by using the yellow glue stick. I used the appropriately sized tab for each dent. I let them “cure” for 5-10 minutes to insure the glue stuck. When I used the puller, the tab and glue came off with no affect on the dent what so ever. I thought, well ok, maybe I used the wrong glue, so I tried the black glue stick. Unfortunately, same result except, some of the black glue remained on the back door. It was easy to remove. I’m very detailed and try things several times before I give up. My question is how does the surrounding ambient temperature affect this products effectiveness. As of right now, in my opinion and experience, this product is worthless. Do not waste your money on this product.Does Amazon back selling these type of products? I would think that Amazon should check out the value of these products before allowing them to continue to be sold on there site. This experience makes me think twice before ordering anything technical from Amazon.

This product is pretty good. It will definitely remove dents. But, it removed some of my paint in the process. Also, the instructions are very vague in regards to removing the glue. Dont peel it off as instructed because it may pull you paint also. I would reccomend using a heat gun afterwards to remove the glue. And good louck removing all the glue from the attachments. Other than that it work ok. And thats why im giving this product 3 stars.

The product definitely works but "professional results" aren't as easy as some of the youtube videos portray. It takes a lot of time and patience if you want great results. Just used the Puller Repair Kit to fix a dent in a door panel. Everything arrived as advertised. The black glue stick adhered better than I expected. I thought the tab would pop off after several strikes as I saw on some youtube videos but I had to remove the larger one with alcohol. The smaller tab eventually did pop off with several hammer blows. I have not tried the yellowish colored glue yet. The hammer was solid and performed well. Pieces screwed together easily. I thought it was easy to use. Overall I like the product. Don't be fooled into thinking you will adhere a tab and pull the dent out to perfection. This product does exactly what it says it does....pulls out dents. There is still a lot of work to do after that. Blending, tapping, smoothing was the hard part for me as an amateur trying to tackle paintless dent repair. Only knock is it didn't include a mini glue gun but that was clear in the description so not really a complaint. Just think it would be a better "kit" if it was included.

My kids like to use glue guns for craft projects, but this was my first time firing one up, to fix a dent in the quarter panel of our Accord. Other reviewers said this kit doesn't come with a gun, however mine did. I didn't really need it because we already had several. The instructions were clear (even if the English was spotty) and applying the glue to the pads, and pads to the dent, was easy. Have some rubbing alcohol on hand for cleanup, and a cooler of beer to serve your buddies who come over to watch. Fixing the dent was like solving a puzzle, figuring out which of the gazillion supplied pads to use, and where to place them on the dent. I used seven different ones. A couple came off the car when I pulled hard, good for a laugh if one if your friends is standing directly behind you. After about an hour, the dent was considerably improved, though not perfect. I could have kept at it and made it better, but the beer was gone and I figured I'd try it another day. I was surprised there was absolutely no glue residue left on the car. Getting it off the pads required soaking them in alcohol, as well as using a hair dryer on one, but it wasn't too bad. Overall, a great product that provides hours of fun.

Don’t waste your money. I have been fixing cars for a living for about 15 years. I bought this thanking that I can buy a car with some minor dents and just turn around and make a quick sale. I just tested this on my Honda pilot, I had a few small dents on the back, and it doesn’t work. I tried every which way and stillIt just pops off and the glue doesn’t hold the pieces to the frame. I sanded down the pieces to see if that would help them hold to the body and still nothing. I can’t believe I fell for it. I’m very disappointed.

In general the set is reasonably well put together kit. This is a base, not a pro kit, and the only real negative I have is the pulling (hot) glue. The rods that came with my kit are the smaller diameter sticks (7mm), not the 1/2" diameter variety. Didn't work in my glue gun, but that information is in the fine details of the listing, I just didn't see it. That is my fault, but still a bit of a disappointment. The reality is that a 7mm glue gun would deliver enough glue for this application. My 1/2" dia glue gun really puts out more glue than is needed. Oh well. Other than that, the product worked well and is capable of more than I am at this point. The plastic glue tabs have proven to last through repeated used - so far. Used 3 different plastic pull tabs, each approximately 40 times, nothing broken yet. My initial use was to remove a few dents from a stainless steel appliance, and while not perfect, it is way better than before using this kit. Next I pulled a couple small dents from a car and truck. I also picked up the small plastic tipped knockdown tap set (different vendor). All has gone well. None of my repair are perfect, but I'm getting better already. There are some generic instructions included in the kit, which only partly relate to the components included in this kit. Just watch some YouTube PDR video to understand the process, then practice.
