great tool
Very nice machete. I had lost my old faithful Bolo machete after decades of use. I had low expectations for this machete. It surpassed my expectations and is now a favorite tool. It is light weight, easy to keep sharp and the saw is a very useful addition. I use it primarily for deer hunting, cutting shooting lanes and camera lanes.

Yes, I have seen the Original Indiana Jones
Neighbor where I moved killed her boyfriend and is out after she warned me to leave. So, I have to cut my weeds with a Machete when I run to my car and back in doors.

Not in any way sharp as delivered, so you will need to do it
Nice little machete, but mine came so dull it couldn't even cut 1/4" vegetation stalks (sorry banana tree to tear you so bad). Does fine after I sharpened it.

Weeds-be-gone
Great fit in hand, decent length for laying waste to several square yards of tall weeds at the edges of farm fields. I also like having the saw edge for small branches during pruning or woody weed stalks. Other reviewers have remarked that this comes less sharp than they wished. I agree, but why not sharpen it yourself? I found that a kitchen knife V-notch sharpener improved the edge.

Saw blade is a joke.
Knife blade takes an edge well. Unfortunately the saw blade is borderline useless.

Small Machete
I liked this little machete…!!!! Does the job very well and is light weight and handy. Cuts well on both sides

Had to Google if machetes are supposed to be dull.
Edit: after I opened the box to check it out, I put it back into the sheath and closed the box up to return it. I didn't realize THAT'S ALL IT TAKES TO BREAK THE SHEATH! The little snap/buttons that good it together after just looking at it was enough to break it. Zero. Not sharp. At all. Unopened from the vendor and it's the summer blade I've ever felt. This isn't an exaggeration. I was a boy scout for years and letter became a chef. I know blades. With a swift slashing motion at fall leaves, it would push the leaves aside, unbroken. I checked three times to make sure there wasn't an intentional removable film. The edge is so bad, you can see a curve instead of a point. It feels like a sanded wood ceiling fan blade that's been painted! I bought a ton of camping gear that I've been missing and need to get ready for a trip this weekend. The area I will be camping in will not be clear prior to my arrival. What am I supposed to do? I'm not sharpening it?! I didn't give my money to them so that I have extra work to do...
