These pencils write well and last.This package includes all the pencils we'll need for awhile AND a dozen erasers.Cheapo pencils just aren't worth it

I've always been a fan of this brand as an Architect who was raised in the era of hand drawing, so I've always purchased this brand for my children for school. However, recently I haven't been able to find it locally, so when I was preparing for the new school term, I resorted to Amazon and I am grateful that I did.These came securely packaged, none were broken or damaged, even the exterior packaging was intact. It was important that it was soft enough to be bright against the page but not so soft it smudges when the pages mush together, and this fit the bill perfectly. The erasers were individually packaged, which was unnecessary for me but a welcome detail.Overall, perfect for my needs.

With Staetdler I was hoping for an exceptional pencil. I’m going to Africa on a missions trip and wanted to bring these to give to the kids.I pulled out a pencil to test it. A piece of the lead fell out!! The wood is cracked down the length. So disappointing. Definitely not Staedtler Mars quality.I guess from the damaged box the pencils got weakened? Is not the only one. I pulled out others, same thing. Some are bent.Although the product box was packaged in a separate Amazon box, the product box had damage.Maybe they’re stored in a really dry area and they cracked?I’ll update this if customer service steps in.

Great and generous amount of these pencils. They even come with Staedtler pencil erasers!

These are hard to sharpen and actually destroyed my pencil sharpener.
