Really sturdy fabric
This nylon is a heavyweight, very strong fabric that's much sturdier than what my local craft stores have. This is perfect for really strong water repellant bags for camping gear or sports equipment although it does fray a little so you'll want to encase the cut edges. The specific item I received has precut pieces to make some small bags so I plan on ordering more to make some larger bags as well. I'm very happy with this fabric and think it's really useful.

It is a sampler of the product
When I saw the 58 inch wide and that it was nylon, able to be used for many DIY projects as well as other practical ways to use it.There is 58 inch wide material that you will get three pieces of: one of each color and those are 4 in Long. Six pieces of sized material that is 20 in wide and 8 in Long: two pieces in each color.I noted some fraying but not a lot so if you are going to use this for DIY that you won't be sewing you probably should take that into consideration and proceed knowing that you might have to process the edges as to stop fraying to continue3 color(3) 58" x 4"(6) 20" x 8"That is a picture of one of my first attempts at cutting vinyl. I placed this adhesive back vinyl on to the fabric to see what it would look like. I have no doubt that this material will hold up through whatever one chooses to make out of it.

Nice material in odd 'sample' sizes
As others have mentioned, I also was under the assumption that you're getting a yard of fabric as I'm pretty sure that was in the description when I ordered it. But, whatever. The samples that you do get, which is what they are, SAMPLES, are oddly shaped, Some long narrow strips demonstrating the width of the fabric and some rectangular pieces. It would have been nice if the pieces were just larger rectangles so you could have more control over how you use the fabric. The fabric itself is pretty nice, I'm planning on making a sort of 'color block' tote bag with what I received. Or maybe some zipper pouches.

Great quality - awesome for bags!
I used this to create the bottom gusset in a sling bag, and I really like the quality and ease of using the material. The sizing of the pieces (one set of thinner strips, and one set of wide strips in each color) let me choose the right size for my project and not feel like I'm wasting a ton of material. I found very little fraying, even after I cut the nylon which was nice, and the colors are rich and go with lots of things.

small pieces of a nylon fabric, colors are more matte, not shiny
I did check to see if the fabric was waterproof, for the most part it is at least in the short term. I got the maroon, green, and navy selection The colors were different than the pictures. I also most think I was sent the wrong color package. My biggest problem was the size of the samples. I was hoping for one piece of each color, but alas, it was one piece that was about 58" long by 3.5" inches wide. I received 2 pieces of each color that were 7" x 18".As for what I can do with this, I can use this to line small cosmetic bags. I will need to use seam sealers to ensure that the bags won't leak. It would have been so much better to have had one piece of each color and the description of the size was clearer. Will have to see how this sews up and holds up. I want to like this, but it is a bit expensive for what you get. Then again this is significantly thicker then typical nylon and is more like a PUL.
