Great value starter sabre
So far I haven't had any troubles with the saber. I know this brand is sometimes frowned against in the hema community but I've had no issues so far in the sparring and drills I've done by myself.

Starter Sparring Blade
I originally got this sword because I wanted something low cost to practice my movements with. The weight is close to other sabers and I absolutely love the cup and grip.NOTE: I've been using this sparring for a few months against some Purpleheart Armory Gymnasium Sabre V5 that many in my club use. This blade has many nicks and dings in it while theirs are holding up nicely.All-in-all, good starter sword. Be ready to replace the blade if you're sparring frequently.

Blade has survived 3 months of sparring.
After 3 months of a mixture of light and heavy sparring, the blade is nearing the end of its life.It takes to burrs quite easily, and filing them off is a chore, so even if this is in your price range, the cost in man hours is likely not worth the $100-$150 you are saving.I'd be lucky if this blade survives another 3 months of sparring. The tip is also too narrow to be HEMA safe. I ground it down about 3/4 of an inch so that the tip is the same width as the rest of the blade. This is a much softer steel than any other sparring sabre out there, so you can expect your other sabres to not receive much damage at all from this. And finally, Castille Armory makes replacement blades, so you can always upgrade in the future. Overall, a very good purchase, but not because it is a good sword. You get maybe 6 months of sparring and testing technique on a throwaway blade before upgrading and by then you hopefully know how to take care of it.

Good blade
Hard to use, fun to learn. The blade itself is solid, and is great for learning the saber.

Hutton's Sabre
I bought this intending to use it for historical fencing. It's a lot cheaper than other Hutton type sabres on the market so I figured I'd give it a whirl (or give it a moulinet? Eh, whatevs) It's a bit shorter than pricier versions of this (darkwood makes a hutton sabre now, slightly longer but twice the price). Straight outta the box, it wasn't oiled and had a minor rust spot on the tip (so I oiled it, looks good as new) The whole thing is also very light, just like Alfred Hutton said it should be (Hutton Sabres are all made to his old timey specifications). MUCH lighter than my 37 inch ZWA rapier. And pretty much any rapier i've ever used. As far as weight goes, it feels almost on par with my epees. Which is nuts to me, Aside from daggers, I've never held a historical/SCA fencing weapon as light as this one. But, again, it's also a lot shorter than most. The black parts of the handle feel like either plastic or rubber so that's probably not historically accurate. But it feels like a good grip, and the rest of it's metal. The whole hilt fits my hand just fine (I'm 5'7, skinny, my hands are about average size I suppose)It flexes pretty well, as much as it needs too (as opposed to floppy or just brittle enough to straight up snap in half) It's totally blunt as advertised, making it great for stage combat or historical/HEMA/SCA fencing (pending your local rules). Other reviews have kinda criticized the blade but just playing around with it, it seems like it'll hold up to combat.I'll update when I try to fence with it. So far I'm satisfied. It is what it I expected for the price.EDIT: I've fenced with this thing several times and it works great. Blade hasn't snapped or anything.

I Want My Money Back
After only a week three days of consist use, this blade meant to spar snapped in HALF. It was not even hitting another blade, or an object. It snapped as it was swung in the air, the end-half flying right off. Thank god it was not being used in an actual training session as that could have seriously injured someone. I would never buy another one of these swords -- I mean, I knew it had issues, but there was never anyone saying it would just up and snap in half. I am so very disappointed, as I purchased this as a birthday gift for my significant other who has many Hanwei blades, which he has used in sparring sessions, and they've held up. My suggestion: do not buy this blade unless you just want to stare at it. I really want my money back, as 12 days of use isn't worth over $100.00. Simply ridiculous.
