I've had the first one of these since maybe 2016 and I can't tell the difference between that one and the ones I bought recently. They all work great and have helped us save probably hundreds of plastic bags by now. We have this size, the 28oz, and the 104oz and they all work great.I've filled them with water and then pressed down as hard as I could and the seal held, even after many uses.The hardest part of these is drying but we found a bottle dryer works if you straddle a few mounts to hold the bag open and upside down.

These are the absolute best and no other brand compares. I have all sizes and colors and love them. They keep produce fresh for days. The seal is like no other. I also use them to freeze food.

Because these don't stay open nor stand-up on their own, I position them carefully in the dishwasher to ensure the inside is exposed to the water jets. Sometimes there's gunk that gets stuck in the grooves of the locking mechanism. This requires hand washing and maybe a little detail cleaning with a cotton swab. This happened recently when I used them to store raw, ground meat. To hold them open so that they can fully air dry, I cut an empty plastic, cottage cheese tub in half. I then use one half to hold the pouch open and set it upright for a day so that the interior can fully air dry.This eight-cup bag comfortably holds two pounds of ground meat and could probably hold three pounds.Going to get the Stashers "bowls" next in hopes they'll be easier to clean.

I must have a dozen of these 1/2 gallon bags which I use for the freezer and boiling veggies. They are a great size without being too small or too big. I cut up a whole chicken and fit all the pieces in one bag. They stand up well in the freezer, no flopping over and no frost. It's a great food storage bag! Highly recommend.
